Season's greetings and Happy New Year to you all. I'm afraid I've been a little quiet over the Christmas period - far too much drinking and eating to be done!
I have been busy too mind - I've finally finished the little commission theBinman asked me to do a while back. The wife's eyes lit up momentarily when I first mentioned I was doing some commission painting - until I told her I was being paid in old lead of the Citadel variety!
Anyway, without further ado, here are the latest additions to theBinman's plucky adventurers, ready to seek death or glory on his amazing Mordheim table (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=45148.0).
The Good - haven't seen this chap before but good fun to paint. I went for an old school High Elf vibe. There's a little Wood Elf in there too with the little Green Man-type face on the shield boss, although its a bit hard to make out in the pic.

The Moody - Skarloc's Archer. He looks like he'll make a great Elf Ranger with attitude judging by that eyepatch.

The Grumpy - Gnome hero. I've painted this guy before for my own burgeoning Gnome Allied Contingent. Not sure if the badger hair cloak is recognisable as such but that's what it is!

And finally - The Snotty, enough said!

And of course the obligatory group shot.

And I'll be getting back to the table soon (ish)
Thanks again, now ou have to paint the ogre and gunner I traded! ;)
-
I'll have to fish them out of the dettol first!
Actually I'm quite excited about getting them done - and the artillery unit to go with the gunner I've been assembling...
Glad you like the adventurers :D

Nice job Steve! Have got me scrambling for my paints and brushes, as I owe Adam a paintjob on two short fellows. =)

Lovely work mate :-*

Nice work.
Plenty of character in those old fellas and you have brought it to the fore.

lol
Ditto!

Thanks one and all!
I tell you what, I reckon Adam's definitely on to something here getting all the painting done this way lol
-
They all look really good, I especially like the gnome and the snotling. Did you paint a face on the elf shield or am I seeing things?
Awesome painting,
Damien

Those are some great looking oldies!

Nice work. I like that little goblin!!
-
Sweet! Looks great! I have the patch wearing elf archer in my bin and always love seeing different paint combos on him. Not sure when I'll get to him, but I like your color scheme.
-
The Lads of various statures & skin tones all turned out TERRIFIC...you have a really flair with the Old Lovelies. GREAT WORK!
Be sure to let your Good Lady know how much you've saved by getting your lead fix for painting. She probably won't by the line, but it's worth a try.

Looking Good Steve! these are all classic figures with great PJs. I have a group to Adam's figures on my desk as well and hope to get started on them in the next week or two.
Which ogre did you trade for?
Cheers,
Blue

It's true I much prefer trading my old lead to LAFERs than selling it on ebay, but I have made a resolution to learn to paint this year (though not with precious lead just yet) as when I bought most of the models back in the 1980s I planned to paint them....
Which ogre did you trade for?

Thanks again!
Damien - yep there is a little face. I went for a kind of Green Man idea to tie him in a bit with the Wood Elf.
Deafnala - I did mention that but still got fairly short shrift! I think she was hoping I might pay some bills off or something... ::)
