Hello
My complete Collection of all Strange Aeons Models.
Now its time for the Godling :)
-
Nice collection :-*
Is that the new Reaper Cthulhu?
-
Thank you :)
No
There are only offical Uncle Mike Modells
Its his Godling.
I have a lot more mythos and pulp minis but i wanted to have a complete set of "offical" Strange Aeons minis.
-
Shame on me, didn't recognized him :(
Thanks for the answer ;)
-
Shame on me for the poor picture quality :)
I think im a better painter than photograph ;)
-
Would be nice to see some Close-ups
-
When the Godling is finished i will make some better Pics.
(i will try my best ;) )
Right now there are some pictures in the Brush Off 2012 Gallery
Maniacs.Agents.Cultists (The 3rd places)
-
I love your collection, mine grows much slower!
And that Godling is really a massive sculpt. I've seen scale comparison pics on Uncle Mike's page, but here it's shown even more. Really impressive, a kit I'd be reluctant to paint, just to make sure I don't spoil it!

I am humbled!

Thank you all for your nice comments.
I should mention that i first heard about Strange Aeons in October 2012 (its not famous in Germany/ Pulp games in general
onlly WH /40k )
It was a lot of work in only a few weeks ;)
-
Well thats a start! ;). Welcome to the club. I look forward to seeing more close ups.
-
The godling is a great model, I just can't bring myself to pay the price for it...I'll either be using my Morgraur-Rashaar (the new Carnevale beastie) or the upcoming Reaper Cthulhu.
Quite the collection. I'm looking forward to some of the close up shots.
-
Harleyface, how did you hear about it?
I'm very curious to know how SA is being marketed, since very few people seem to know about it.
-
:o
Impressive!
And even more so if you have painted them so quickly.
Joining the chorus for some close-ups.
:D

Reaper Cthulhu? What?! Do you have a link? I have the eldritch demon ( http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/demon/latest/65095 ) but I'd love to see another option!

Coming out in soft, squishy bones plastic...

That is AWESOME!
EDIT: I have a few Bones miniatures, and have nothing bad to say about them. Exciting!
-
Me neither actually...they are not for everyone but am happy with the ones I have picked up...good value for sure.
-
My only problem with Bones is that you have to put weight under the base of the minis...they're VERY light.
Here's that Cthulhu link:

And his gruesome visage (Aiiii!)

And another different one from another set in that promo:

To be honest, though, the sculpt is not as good as the concept art, as it has a guy-in-a-rubber-suit quality to it. In my opinion it lacks texture work on the skin (for that, Ed @ TrollForge is a master). That said, I pledged for one and I'm eager to receive it. It'd also like to see it painted in non-pastel colours ('cause this one looks like the Hello Kitty version of the mythos).

Hello Superflytnt
It was kind of coincident to hear about Strange Aeons.
After colllecting WH and WH 40k i stopped painting and collecting minis.
For some years i played mainly Boardgames FFG,Avalon hill....
I missed painting so i started Battletech (i played it with 16)
great fun and no Army-painting ;)
After that i was looking for a skirmish game.
In Munich no chance-only Games Workshop.
So i searched in the internet german shops.
Found Battlefield Berlin
They have a historical/pulp section-i was interested and found a small Strange Aeons section
Always beeing a great Lovecraft fan i really liked it.
Ordered the rulebook at black hat uk-in Germany it was sold out .
In fact there“s no promotion in Germany-feels a bit like im the only one knowing it here :)
Greetings
Florian
PS Have to make all of you a great compliment for forum attitude.
I am active in a german Battletech forum and it really sucks because of bad manners!!
-
Hello!!!
Its done ;)
A complete set of offical UM Strange Aeons Modells-only some promos are missing.
Sorry for the poor picturequality-in the next days a friend with a good camera will visit me-I promise better pictures and some close ups :)
Greetings
Florian

All I know is that I'd have nightmares if that thing was standing on beside my bed staring at me with it's creepy eyes :o
