Looks more like a fantasy game figure to me.

I'm not sure how chick with big sword and big hair = Sci Fi....

I liked this as a fantasy figure, but it needs more work if it's going to be a sci-fi figure IMO. Redoing the armour would have been a good start - and quick as there is not much of it!  lol

100% Fantasy... (but nice anyway!!!)  ;)

Science Fiction?  Not even in a 40K (spit) way.

Florid (Elaborately or excessively intricate or complicated: "florid operatic-style music was out".) Fantasy?  You bet!

Gracias,

Surely you must recognise the billions of research dollars that have gone into Big Hair technology.
The Large Hairdron Collider is but one small example.

I thought it was Large Hard-on Collider: the machine to search for the Viagra Boson.

As one of those fellows for whom VSF≠Steampunk, welcome to my world. ;)

And she needs a few gears glued on to even be Steampunk.  lol

I knew what to expect when I read that.

But I'm still disappointed.

I'm sure everyone's aware that RH have a new "hard science fiction" :P KickStarter in the works? In case not, here's a preview from what to expect for that:

Looks more 40K or post-apoc than "hard SF" to me, really.

I thought the whole point of this new game was that wasn't going to be yet another grimdark future?

To be frank, I didn't even know they were proposing a game as well. I thought they were just pushing minis :?

I knew they were doing 'Rambo with boobs for the more discer... desperate gamer', but I really hope that's not how Roginshirozz describes them.

Thanks for showing us this. I have no idea why, but I suddenly have the insane urge to buy a squad of those SF-Blood Vestals und to paint some SciFi Drow. I fear sex sells, and sexy Drow sell even better...

if anything, SF or true SF leans towards hard SF
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MohsScaleOfScienceFictionHardness

although the sculpting does appeal, real SF is something totally different and rather rarely encountered in lead dolly land....
IMHO

"Damn, the unwieldy impractical grip of my oversized sword got entangled in my hair, and I can barely move in these clothes! OH? never mind, the faceless evil mastermind just died anyway of massive sexual arousal/life sustainement malfunction"  ;)

'Futuristic Fantasy', just like 40k in my opinion. Not Science Fiction, which operates on a scientific basis.

Or potentially Space Opera...

Is that an armoured front or is she honestly bare from neck to navel?

I just wish Raging Heroes would hurry up and actually decide on a line of models to release instead of all the previewing and teasing and dithering.  It's just getting tedious now. :?

Fixed that for you.

And, yes, it is.

I must admit that all this mainly seems 'Zzzzzzzzzzzz...' rather than sci-fi to me.

Went back to the original TMP post, and the comments left. I especially like WarrenB's take on possible names...

Ekk'stenshunzz?

Spikez O'Toppleover?

Skankyaa?

Hairbarella?

Intergalactic Stripper Barbie?

 lol exponential.

He's an extraordinarily clever (and handsome) one, that's for sure.

On a scale of 1-10, my interest in the midriff brigade wavers somewhere between 0 and 1. Reading about just how they might be trotted out for 40K doesn't exactly make it go shooting up.

Well, still better than mantic.

Actually no, Mantic to their credit advertise, promote, hype and then deliver. This lot just hype....but then, as their entire concept seems to be to take the worst aspects of 40k/Warhammer design and exaggerate it, maybe that is a good thing.

Yeah, but its hardly a good thing delivering junk your stockists cannot sell and in cases even give away.

At least these would appeal to the weirdos who inhabit GW...might even count as a love interest...but let's not imagine it further, they are an odd lot.

Can't say that I disagree, especially about Mantic. I all but gave up hope on decent minis from them when they pushed those sisters through. Could've been a half-decent counterpoint to these collectables for the discerning sweaty-palmed gentleman; but I think the main reason for that, at this point, is because they don't look human.
