So, to start off my SciFi WIP thread, I'm posting some figures for =I=munda/Inq28 or most likely In the Emperor's Name warbands. I was reading back through all of the awesome Inq28 blogs that I have subscribed, and was inspired to start these figures.
Death Guard:

Lots left to do. He is supposed to look like he is wearing corrupted Mk.IV Power Armor.
Nurgle Sorceror:
This guy will more than likely be used for Mordheim instead. Still not sure though.
Soldier:

Will be a member of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor's warband. A few touch ups left to do on him, but he is 99% finished.
As always, comments and criticism appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Very nice conversion work! I look forward to seeing more. Re-reading Eisenhorn right now so this fits!
-
All of these inquisitor28 projects and blogs have rekindle my interest in GW products. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.
Also I think that death guard conversion might almost be considered true scale, is that the chaos champion fig, or is it a converted orgy?

Thanks Scott! I started re-reading the Eisenhorn trilogy recently too. Some of my favorite books set in the 40K realm.

The Death Guard is converted from the Nurgle Lord plastic figure. I increased his height to make him more true-scale. He is a rather big fella now... So big, I need a new 2nd shoulder pad for him. The regular PA shoulder pad that I bought looks too small.
Thanks everyone for looking.

LOL, he should be a pretty scary opponent in the game then.

Indeed!
Here is a shot of him with all of his parts blu-tacked on next to a Cadian for scale:

And because some folks requested it here is a back shot of the Soldier:

This one is a total pain to photo with my phone. I'll try to get shots tomorrow after he is primed.
Thanks again everyone for looking.

lovely stuff 8) watching with interest

Lovely work indeed. I love the Inquisamunda stuff. Really does just bring out the imagination in people. Always brings out awesome amounts of conversions.
I would love to see also some of the blogs people are referring to for reference in this field? :-)

Thank you too! I love all of the Inquisimunda stuff. So much exploration of the 40K setting, and all of its oddities.
Here are some of my favorite blogs in no particular order:
Spiky Rat Pack Blog (http://spikyratpack.blogspot.com/)
Excellent figures and illustrations. Lots of eye candy here.
Jakob Nielson's Blog (http://miniatextures.blogspot.com/)
Same as above. Lots of excellent figures and illustrations. Link to his Gallery on the right side of the page as well.
PDH's General Dakka Blog (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/320489.page)
PDH's Yggdrasillium Pilgrimage Blog on Dakka (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/467692.page)
Lots of figures in here, not just =I=munda stuff.
Bruticus' Dakka Blog (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/446278.page)
Good Necromunda and =I=munda figures and some absolutely gorgeous terrain.
Migsula's Blog (http://legionofplastic.blogspot.com/)
One of the first folks to kick off the =I=munda craze. Excellent modeller and painter.
Here are his Dakka Blogs:
Legion at Rhisienne (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/233990.page)

The =I= Trilogy (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/387331.page)
There is some overlap between the Dakka Blogs and his main Blog.
KrautScientist's Dakka Blog (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/439900.page)
Lots and lots of great figures.
These ones are some of my favorites, but by no means all. I'll stop for now. Let me know if you want more, I've got lots.

Oh, I love these :-*
And I've totally missed the Inqiusimunda-thingy as well! Will be a great thing for my club to pick up on, since we've rarely fielded an unconverted miniature (except me, but I did 200 imperial guardsmen in one week...)

If you meant my stuff: Thanks!
If you didn't: I totally agree. Awesome stuff in those links. :D

I can recommend In the Emperor's Name (http://iten-game.org/) as a good ruleset. It is pretty light and most warbands will have 10 or less figures. Others to consider (if you can find them) are Inquisimunda, World in Arms, and Death Squads. All of those are modifications of either Necromunda or Mordheim rules, and all look like they will play very well. Not sure if they are all readily available anymore though. Then there is Inquisitor itself, which lots of folks play at 28mm.
Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, I meant your work ;)
Not wanting to highjack your great work, I'll pm the stuff the club members have built over the years :)

Here is a requested size comparison for the Soldier figure:
He is a big boy, but not too much taller than the Cadian if it were more upright in its stance.
PredatorKroot that I have been working on:
Without the extra equipment blu-tacked to him. I'm trying to make his armor look Tau influenced, but not necessarily directly Tau manufactured.
With some extra gear:
Still very early stages and changes will probably occur. I'm considering putting a modified Fire Warrior shoulder pad on his right arm. Might be too much though. He will be getting a lot more sculpted armor, and the helmet will be modified to have the quills coming out of the back of it at least. I'm also contemplating doing an un-helmeted head for him.
He will be part of a Radical Ordo Xenos warband that I am working up ideas for and he will be the adversary for my Predator inspired Guard Kill Team, which will be getting extensively reworked in the coming days.
What do you think? As always, comments, questions, and criticism welcome.
Thanks for looking.

This is developing well, like your conversion ideas.

Thank you sir! Much appreciated.
Updates:
Kroot:
He is meant to look like he is wheeling to confront something. I think it comes across much better when the other arm and head are on. I've also added a bit of height to him.
Soldier PIP:
He most likely will get stripped and started over. I tried to do the Zenithal primering method on him and some of the white coat was a bit grainy. You can see it in the leather areas but not so much the others, so I am going to finish those areas a bit more and see if I can disguise it. If not, into the stripper he goes...
Thanks everyone for looking.
