I think they look great and am excited about this range although I know nothing about that period in history. Might have to do some reading a buy a few when they are released.

I like them...other than the swords on their belts which seem out of scale with the rest of the figure....other than that they are stellar!
Cheers,

From what I can see, only two of them have swords and they don't seem that out of scale. I'm sooooo looking forward to the rest of the of the figures from this range. According to facebook there are loads more to come!

lol I did wonder if thats what you'd done but didn't want to be rude!
-
those minis are very nice!
Too bad that the last time i logged on the TAG site i realised that the priced increased from "cheap" to "not too pricey"... that makes everything less interesting
-
I find it hard to argue with TAG's prices when you get free postage.

I'm just saying that, compared with perry, now they have 1,6 £ per piece against 1,26, included shipping to europe. That's not expensive at all, but not as cheap as before, and so not as interesting as before. :)

Excuse my lack of knowledge about historical English bowmen....these would be 16th century archers? War of the Roses?
they would look good in my puff and slash Warhammer Empire army.... :D

They're Tudor, Henry VIII.
-
So they will also work for Queen Elizabeth to then?
-
Really nice looking figures - good to know some decent sculpts for this period - am thinking of a modest Tudors in Ireland game would be good to do.
Looking forward to seeing more.
Simon.

Good TAG are expanding their Spanish Century stuff is on going. The Tudor side of things o
is not well supported, figure-wise and these are good figures so I think will do well. Looking forward to see more of this range.

They are a bit early mate, Pete and the TAG guys have plans to do mid and later Tudor which would be more akin to Wars fo Religion and Armada. These chaps are more 1520s
I am looking forward to seeing this range grow
-
Sorry to be a pedant ::)but these are 1540's, they draw fairly heavily from images such as this (siege of Boulogne 1544).
That said some could do as militia for the Elizabethan period but it appears from details of plans for their Tudor range on their site that they will come round to Elizabethans eventually.
-
These are early Tudor figures but did longbowmen really carry quivers like that? 14th/15th C archers used arrow bags and tended to either stick their arrows through their belts or in the ground as it was quicker to simply pull them out and shoot.
-
The tag guys do research before banging ahead as does the guy that sculpted these fellas, would reckon them to be accurate, and 1520 or 1540........either I guess!
