Just in case there's Victoria-area residents on LAF I'm not already aware of, or some Vancouver/Seattle/etc folks feel like making a field trip, GottaCon 2013 (http://www.gottacon.com/) is coming up in a few weeks!
It's our local "big" convention, covering everything from miniatures to board games to collectible card games to computer gaming to RPGs. The miniatures scene tends to revolve around a couple of big GW tournaments (boring as all heck, in my never-humble opinion...) but a few of us put on "real" miniature games every year.
Last year I ran a pulp extravaganza involving dinosaurs, crashing cars and general insanity; this year I'm going more historical with a Russian Civil War battle.

Anyone else on LAF likely to make it to GottaCon?
