Title: RCW Cards for Mud & Blood Redone
Post by: Wirelizard on 19 January 2013, 04:33:56 AM
Back in November 2011 I did up a set of cards for Russian Civil War large skirmishes using TooFatLardies Through the Mud & the Blood rules. In a year of using the cards we've scribbled additional notes on them, scratched a few things off, and repeatedly said, "It would be useful if..."

So I sat down with Inkscape and rebuilt the whole set, with a few expansions and extra cards that weren't in the original.

You can find the 9 page PDF over on the Warbard (http://www.warbard.ca/2013/01/18/updated-mb-russian-civil-war-cards/). The Big Man cards are completely redone, a number of the other cards have additional notes on them to minimize consulting the rulebook during play, and the full set should be large enough that a single printing of all nine pages will cover quite large M&B games.

This set has Reds (Bolsheviks) and White Russians; I have a set of British cards in progress, and a set of Warlord Chinese as well, for those who like a bit more of a Back of Beyond flavour!

Feedback always welcome, either here or on the blog. Point out typos, suggest something to include in the next edition, anything like that!

Indeed, your previous batch of cards have saved me a ton of headache. Though I've edited them a little for usage in WW1 as well.

Ataman, it would be simple enough to turn the "White" cards in my current RCW set into a generic "Russian" set for WW1 and elsewhere, if that would be useful to you and others.

Just give me a couple of weeks to get around to it, I've got a big RCW game at our local convention in ten days and I'm busy painting and building scenery for that!
