!! This! Is! Great! :-* :-*
First of all, the concept itself, bringing back this kind of stuff. But that's nothing compared to the beauties you are showing, well chosen and better painted! Lovely!
-
I love it! Very nicely painted and very characterful. :-*
(I really dislike the hex base - but this is only personal taste thing!) ;)
Really nice to see some old beauties painted to todays standards! 8) 8)
-
one of the coolest and shiny Rogue trader warband I've never seen !!
this gives a lot of inspiration !!
-
:-*
Love the vibrant colours !
-
Ah, now this I recognise from over at powerfist.dk!
Really nice gang, great paintjobs. I agree with Agis on the hex bases, but that doesn't stop them being great models.
-
Wow! Shiny :-*
who makes the red coated guy? Or is it an old Citadel one, too?
-

Yes, thanks, now I recognize him! He fits the rest of the gang very well.
-
Gorgeous, characterful, begging for a good mission storyline.
-
Brilliant looking models!!! I love these old school projects...
Excellent choice btw, casting Jess himself in the title role ;)
-
Those are awesome.
-
Nice paint job! I don't recognize the orange clad crew. What minis are those?
-
:o
Fantastic paintwork on some seriously good old school chaps.
:-* :-* :-*
Nice paint job! I don't recognize the orange clad crew. What minis are those?
They are Iron Claw Space Pirates, sculpted by Bob Olley for Citadel a long time ago.
Great sculpts!
And I am still looking for Psycho...... :'(
-
Very nice!!
-
Ooh,lovely :-*
-
Some of my favourite figs painted in gorgeous colours. What's not to love?!
-
That's a cracking g warband!! :o 8) :-*
-
Great looking gang. I love the colours.

Very cool stuff - you painted your Jes the same colour I did :)
-
Fantastic painting :o love old RT stuff
-
Hats off! :-*
-
Sweet, sweet stuff :-*
-
Great work. Love the blue skinned crew. You are changing my opinion of Bob Olley's sculpts for this range...
-
Thanks all!
-
Great PJs plus some classic minis.
-
Oh yeah! I love what you've done with the lads! I have a couple of space pirates on the painting table as well (no Olleys though) and I'm painting them to match my Squat Smugglers for Inquisimunda. Your paintjobs are on another level though, very cool! The Rogue Trader fits in perfectly, and I love the skin tone of the psyker. I guess you field the blue aliens as humans in the game?
-
awesome! love the psyker! the two eldar are nice too!
-
Flat out beautiful.
Care to share your basing secrets with us, maestro?
-
Sure!
Here's a pic of the unpainted bases. They are made of milliput with varius plastic bits in. When dry, i glued sand on (several layers).
I painted the sand P3 Hammerfall Khaki and the metal P3 Pig Iron.
Then the whole thing got a generous GW Devlan Mud wash, when dry i gave the metal a GW Badab black wash. After they had dried again, i gave the metal some VERY thinned down P3 bloodstone where i wanted it to look rusty. I gave the sand spots too, so it looks like rust on the ground. Drying again at this step. Then i used just a little pigment soot and rust.. then dry again
I finished the painting with a P3 Khaki drybrush and very light P3 Jack Bone drybush.
Last step was dullcote and glueing grass turfts on (from the trainhobby store)

Great stuff, I'll have to give something similar a go on both RT era and Mordheim figures.
Thanks!

Brilliant minis!!! :-*
I gotta get this Hasslefree space pyrate!
-
Absolutely beautiful!
Played a game of Inquisimunda the other day and loved it.
-
What a great group of figures. Nicely done!
For some reason I've gotten away from small warband skirmish style games. It's really slowed project completion... I need to find my roots again.
Very inspirational!
-
What a wonderful band, it's absolutely brilliant in all ways, composition, colours, and painting. Flawless victory.
-
Well worth a bit of threadomancy, that warband is lush.
