Title: JUNO BEACH PART 3 the Game(pic hvy)

Hi guys

Well here it is,for those who havnt seen it i hope you like it.

Few thankyou`s
TSM for the landing craft
Colin Rumford for the sand(off Juno beaches)and the Frigate
Spike (who you have yet to meet)for the warrhouses and the scratch build.

Mate, ALL of your boards are AMAZING!!! :o :o :o :o You've got that many threads on the go, I didn't know where to put this!

It really makes me want to get into WWII!

How long did it take you to make up all of this stuff?

Im new to this forum so all the work ive ever taken pics off is backed up and waiting to go,i only started making boards and matts about eight years ago and each setup you see takes about 8-10 weeks start to finish.


Ive got some nice suprises still to post and im glad you are all enjoying my threads and hopefully picking up ideas and getting inspired, im not the best painter or the greatest model maker but with a eye for things and some techniques and a lot of time and patience well all these together gets the job done.

Alan, rest assured, we're enjoying them.

LAF has (as far as I'm concerned anyway) always been about showcasing and sharing quality creativity in modelling and gaming with a particular eye to great presentation. YOur stuff ticks all the boxes. Keep it coming.

(Although you may not want to spoil us all at once - do allow a little time for enjoyable digestion between each delicious course ;))

Great boards indeed, I like the eye for detail, my fave being the line of seaweed along the beach at the high water mark. Will this be at Salute 2013?

No sorry i dont do shows,used to do Wolverhampton every year but had enough of there poor judging .Ahhhh the posts is a few years old sorry just noticed the bit about shows at the top,ill remove that.

Just amazing work and impressive collection.

Maybe I missed it but where did the resin bunkers comefrom?  How about the LST (big tank landing boat) and the armoured bulldozer come from?  Thanks, Rob.

The bunkers all came from Grubby Tanks as for the other two i have no idea there not my kit ,if i find out i will let you know.

Do you know the most shamefull part of all this,my club never asks me to bring it out for a game,i think all of these layouts have only seen the club house once each.The cloths get used though,and i now have an alternative (top secret document only to be opend in a couple of weeks as im being advised to slow down on my posts) :-X.

Words are totally inadequate. The scope and execution are amazing.

As a Canadian I'm tickled you chose Juno beach instead of Gold or Sword.

So wish I could get my army cadets around that table for an interactive history lesson!

An Epic board for an epic battle! Beautiful terrain and accessories. I especially liked the crane! Lovely docks and boats too! But what was that ship doing 150 meters off-shore?!? Well done! I am green with envy!
