Thinking about buying on of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290852439331?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648
Does anybody know what size it actually is? Could it be a giant spider to a GW lotr model or is she big enough to be an actuall cheap shelob?
Thanks in advance!

The magazine is normal magazine size, so the spider would be a big spider. To be Shelob you need to use 15mm or 10mm
I have a Mumak and Winged Nazgul from these sets, and I have them for the 10mm Warmaster scale

Ok thanks big spiders are cool too... would have been nice to get a cheap shelob for 28mm but still!

I have the chess Shelob after seeing it in a bargain bin with the issue for $NZ6 (SOLD!! ;D)
The sculpt's great and the pedestal it's mounted on gives it great height - I'm not too fussed about the scale, really.

You had me worried for a second there. When I saw the subject line, I though that you were considering buying and painting this:

If you want a HUGE cheap Shelob there was one sold for the 3" action figure scale about 10 years ago. Might still be available someplace
But it's as big as a Warband
We have two
My Balrgo is from the same set, and mounted on CDs, it gets mobbed by troops

Wow that sounds awesome got some pics?

You could also use the Pathfinder miniatures Giant Caveweaver Spider. It's substantially big (Not quite as big as the GW model) and made of stiffer plastic than the D&D minis were. They are available on ebay with regularity.

Cool... probably wont use her for LOTR much anyway so no nead for her to be GW just awesome (compared to price ;D) is good enough,
thanks bud!
