Hi all, finally got around to taking some pics of my froggy princess! They are on my blog:
http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au (http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au)
And here's a sneak peek:

Alas no game anywhere in sight (blame other projects, painting and otherwise!) but I did finish the bases on my troops. No pics yet as I realised I hadn't painted their shields, so that's now a task on my to-do list!
-
Looks good! It's probably worth mentioning it can b purchased from Eureka. It just hasn't made it to the online store yet!
-
haha! very cute, I like the modell and the painting.
Well, so there goes another bookmark ... are they limited? You can only do a million bookmarks in Your live or something? Cause LAF is making a serious dent in that pool! ^^
Sooner or later I need to do a gang of these "stranger" minis, too. Some hamsters or frogs or ... dunno. Some real weirdo gang!
thanks for sharing!
best wishes
DK
PS
It reminds me of the salamander "Lurchi", maybe it is his girl-friend? ^^

only German, sorry. they were some nice "advertisements" made as an add-on for kidz shoes - where are these times gone, I wonder, when distributors invest money for cool comix, too??
-
Great stuff Princess! :-*

Ohh, sweet memories! I remember them too. I loved the little books I got for free when my mom bought new shoes for me. I recall even hardcovers with the complete collection of those illustrated stories. Man, those were the days, weren´t they?
Great paint job on a very cute miniature, painting princess. You deserve your name, I assume...
Keep on entertaining us with such unusual gems!
-
She is a CHARMING Little Amphibian...your brushwork & basing are EXCELLENT. I wonder how she & her Friends would get on with my Mushroom Fellows. That aside, VERY WELL DONE!
I can identify with the myriad of projects; I only have one project, but it has endless facets.
-
I approve!
-
Lovely! Really like the mushrooms too.
Cheers,
Damien

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Eureka also has warrior mice, rabbits and turtles, as well as flying monkeys. Some really interesting stuff, which is why I like them.
Hoping to post some pics of the rest of the frogs soon ...

I knew there was someone who had painted them

Hi all,
Managed to finally finish two of the Princess's guardsmen:

More pics on my blog: http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au (http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au)
Hope you like them!
-
Too and too cute! While I am personally not too much into mouse-, frog or hamsterwarriors looking at your pics kind of opened my eyes to what's so likable about them. Very sweet.
-
The Frog Fellows painted up WONDERFULLY; I like your color choices, particularly the shells. If you were to add a dot of white to the black parts of their eyes, it would give a glowing/shiny effect. GREAT WORK!
AND the domed building is OUTSTANDING.
-
Hello princess, I really like Zan! These little guys look great.
Damien
-
Thanks for your lovely feedback, guys :) really gives me some much-needed encouragement to gt my act together and paint more! Been working on a few interesting shields to give the rest of the pike-frogs, so hopefully will have a few more pics up soon!

DeafNala, will have a look at the eyes :-) And, I don't remember if I mentioned in my original post, but the domed building is a "pygmy village" made by Christian. But, yes, it is outstanding!
-
Hi princess, I second DeafNala's suggestion about the eyes and show us those shields (even if they are WIP).
Damien

Pics of the shields are now on my blog, but here's a sneak peek. Pics of the froggies with new shields will also be up soon - having technical difficulties (my phone ran out of battery and the pics are on it) :)

Will put up some more pics with the hammerers soon, too, once I've fixed up the eyes! ;)

And here are the second lot of pics!

I love the buttonshields, much better then the turtle shell shields.
-
Great paint jobs and love those buttons! I really like that you are using hex bases, they add a lot of character to the minis.
Damien
-
Although I'm rather fond of the Turtle Shell Shields, the Buttons are an attractive alternative...a bit of diversity is always pleasant. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Thanks, everyone, for the feedback! I took DeafNala's advice re: the white dots and also did a dark rim around the eyes as per Christian's suggestion. You can see the finished froggies on my blog.
Here are some pics after I did the eye touch-ups:

And here are some jungle shots!

I also posted these same pics on the Battle of Frogonia blog (we originally started it to post progress pics and battle reports -- they will exist in the not-so-distant future, I promise!). I was just having a quick browse and saw the original progress pics for these little guys. I must say I am very happy with the results, if I do say so myself ;) -- it is so good to see the raw metal figs and compare them to the finished ones! So happy to have finally finished a unit of something! (Well, two, if you split them into pike-frogs and hammerers.)
Here is the link to the BoF blog:

Hope you like them!

CONGRATULATIONS on completing the unit(s)...great feeling isn't it?! Having them done AND looking THAT GOOD is a really plus. The lush scenery is a FANTASTIC background for your creations. GREAT WORK!
I think the Little Frogs would work well with my Spooky Woods Project. SO I guess I'll be painting up the Frog Riders I have & perhaps getting some Fellows on (webbed) foot.
-
Yes!! The eyes look fantastic! I also downloaded your second pic (the one with all the amazing plant terrain) and am using it as my background. Loving this thread.
Cheers,
Damien

Thanks DeafNala! Really appreciate the feedback. Would be great to see how you go with the Frog Riders - be sure to post up some pics when they're done! Are they the ones from Eureka Miniatures? An interesting addition to a "cavalry" army might be the Turtle Tank they have, if you're after other creatures (http://eurekamin.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=87_126_191&products_id=11349 (http://eurekamin.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=87_126_191&products_id=11349)).

Haha that's great, I'm glad you like them :) thanks for all the positive comments!

Lovely painting jobs!! I always liked those Eureka frogs!! :-* :-*. And the shields are great!!

These guys are super cute, love the whimsical button shields.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the comments :)
