This is a "Knight Models" Harley Quinn in 32-35mm scale (don't remember exactly but I know it won't mix well with much on the market). My buddy Thomas bought a few blisters of their Batman Arkham City range which is based upon the recent game with the same name, and I told him I would paint up Harley for free as I really like that character and the miniature looked cool.
I wasn't happy with the hair though, the pigtails were weirdly shaped and I wanted them more realistic and fluffy. The temple on one side had been slightly messed up during casting so I had to apply a ultra thin layer of green stuff and add some hair texture. I also wanted the parted fringe to be a bit more pronounced and thicker so I added that as well.

As someone who has flailed about trying to modify hair on minis once or twice your results are lightyears ahead of mine, very well done.
On the mini itself I'm not personally a great fan of the Arkham City Harley design (I'll forever be loyal to Classic Harley ) but if this model was a tad less expensive I'd probably pick it up just to have as a random ganger girl. I guess being "an official model" pushes the price up quite a bit.

Thanks, I'm not used to sculpting at all - that is the domain of my buddy Thomas who is a real sculpting master and does some real cool custom minis out of clay and various materials. However I felt I needed to fix the hair to better match her look or else it would bother me while painting :)
Yes the models are quite expensive which is why I will only get one or two myself :? Not sure about the "game" they are intended for - it seems like an odd idea. Maybe it works with gang vs gang, but I can't see how it is balanced if it's Batman vs 20 guys like in the games. It would be interesting to see how it works.
But if all else fails, at least most of the range can be used for regular "gang members" of some sort. But the scale of the miniatures may cause problems if you mix with other popular ranges as they are quite big...

The face kept nagging me, especially how the eyes just disappeared behind the sooted makeup. It made me repaint the face with a couple of watered down layers of white color and repaint the eyes for the 15th time.
I also made a few improvements, like the hair, and a few highlights (some of which are on the back of the legs and not seen in the pictures).
I figured since I'm painting this one for Thomas (out of pure interest and free of charge) I really wanted it to look the way I would have painted my own once I order one. I would feel embarrassed if I painted my own model differently/better. I'll see what Thomas has to say about the changes, it would not be a lot of work to change back to the skintone if he ends up disliking it.
