Im thinking on getting some Mamlukes for my French Napoleonic’s what are my options ?
Would Brigade Games Ottoman Mamluks work for a French force ?

I had some thought about getting Perrys American Civil war Zouaves and with some converting work maybe could work as a form of dismounted variant?

Maybe that’s too far from the historical truth and the uniforms to work for the button counters...
Any tips or ideas and even plain bashing of my thoughts are appreciated.

Bircorne Miniatures make the Connoisseur Mamelukes. These models are older (designed in the 80s) but paint up really well. Check these for what a master does with otherwise fairly old-fashioned figures.

The Brigade Games mameluks would work fine for the "early years" 1800-1805/6. After this period their uniform became more standardized as there was
an influx of Europeans to fill the ranks, especially after 1812.
