I'm not normally into Weird WWII, but if it has got tentacles, I admit I could change my mind... The artwork looks really cool.

I'd really be interested to see some minis!

The art is fantastic!

I love nice art in gamebooks and this stuff would be worth getting for the art alone. They nailed it.
Indeed. I'm backing this one, hoping it will reach £24000 so they can print both books in colors.

Thanks guys! In fact there's miniatures coming as a Stretch goal later in the campaign, all hush hush for now though so secret squirrel and all that!

We just unlocked a secret £17k stretch goal giving everyone at £35 and upwards a free 98 page campaign PDF.

Also we are planning a miniatures supplement!

Modiphius,

Excellent artwork, some of the best I have seen in a game for a while.

Any plans to support Trail of Cthulhu?

There's only one man to sculpt WW2 figures in my book and that's Paul Hicks, get him and they will come!

However once I'm on leave from the Pussers Gray this is a KS i'll be backing

Regards

Jim

Hi we're actually doing a Trail conversion of our first two adventures now, if that works okay and we hit a stretch goal for this we'll do a conversion.  Thanks our artist is so good we've got him on staff from July!

Ok this KS finally caught me eye with the Mountains of Madess campaign! I find the organization levels you have set up a bit difficult to understand, but I think I get it overall. Tell me this though before I buy in:  I see you have the "second" part of two adventures based on various funding goals, but what if you don't make those goals? What good is only having part 1 if part 2 never gets funding? Wouldn't it have been better to have a complete adventure at each level?

Also, is there a print copy of the main rule book available at some level? It looks like it may be an add on, but I can't tell for sure.

Hi there, we've actually completed the Shadows of Atlantis campaign with the 3rd stretch goal for it, the final third of Assault on the Mountains of Madness is due to hit it's goal this week (if for some reason we didn't hit it, it would be separate books and not as amazing art).

The print copy of the core book comes with the Print Master or the Print Keeper (remember it's a source book for Call of Cthulhu not stand alone rules)

Our latest update confirms we've unlocked the full 248 page Shadows of Atlantis campaign for Achtung! Cthulhu, free on PDF to all backers of the PDF Master Bonus level and upwards. We are now climbing towards the last goal to fully unlock the Assault on the Mountains of Madness campaign - here's another piece of concept art from Korungn.

We also announced a special bonus for reaching £50k - the Achtung! Cthulhu Secret War Documents Pack in PDF for all backers to help bring the world to life.

and of course the first Achtung! Cthulhu miniatures Stretch Goal is insight, which unlocks an Add On of a set of six stunning Allied investigator's, of which Professor Richard Deadman is the first!

Are they going to be available to buy after the KS has finished?

Ah, well as much as I like Empire of the Dead, this one has me cooking more with ideas and I can wedge it into stuff that I've already got.........same amount of pledge money as well, so swapped from one to the other.

I'll ask on the KS comments page and find out.

*edit* minis will be available on the website once the KS finishes.

Some mini only pledge levels should be available soon in Kickstarter. Investigator set (6 of them), Monster set (6), or both.

I have also pledged for this as Call of Cthulhu has always been my favourite RPG (as well as first one bought about 30 years ago now o_o), will probably combine with my WWII collection to do some Strange Aeons.

While it's unlikely I'll ever get anyone to play the RPG itself, I'm seriously thinking about pledging on this just for the books to read. Of course the miniatures available as add-ons is also a serious enticing factor...the concept is simply great, and some of that artwork: wow!

We also added pledges for both sets of miniatures, a big set of heroes, Cthulhu creatures and 10 Nazi Zombies and all the books and lots of new Add On's including unit patches, 28mm Nazi Zombie packs etc

We're already planning an official expansion for the Heroes of Normandie WW2 board game and have a miniatures supplement in the works for Achtung! Cthulhu...more on that to come! (http://"http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/modiphius/achtung-cthulhu-the-ww2-keepers-and-investigators/posts/434233")

We're showing off more miniatures sculpts and concept art tonight (including the Nazi Zombies!) - it's unlikely we'll be able to show all the sculpts before the end of the kickstarter (it was after all mainly an RPG kickstarter) but we are pledging to refund ADD ON's for miniatures and Miniatures only PLEDGES if people aren't happy with the sculpts once they are unveiled.

We've unlocked an Add On for ONE WAR - an Introductory Wargame set in the Achtung! Cthulhu universe using cards for units, orders, random events and solo play. See below...

Here is the latest update with the news that we unlocked the FATE Core conversion, and new ADD ON's (http://"http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/modiphius/achtung-cthulhu-the-ww2-keepers-and-investigators/posts/435437") (Dice, T-shirts, Custom T-Shirts, Achtung! Cthulhu Introductory Wargame ONE WAR) and a sneak preview of the Investigator's Kit bag Collector's Edition...

The next big Stretch Goal unveiled is the Terror's of the Secret War guide - a fantastic 128 page book of giant Mythos Terror's, Plots and new rules! if you need still need a reason to back the Kickstarter here's another piece of amazing art by our latest artist to join the project Ian Scholefield

Just revealed (http://"http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/modiphius/achtung-cthulhu-the-ww2-keepers-and-investigators/posts/436257") the sculpts and concept art for the six 28mm Allied Investigator's and some Nazi Zombies... Cthulhu Creatures to follow! We won't be able to show more sculpts before the end of the Kickstarter so the deal is, you don't like the final sculpts? No problem! We refund your Miniatures Add On or Miniatures Only Pledge (or part of Pledge) - we're that convinced you'll love 'em!

Alright...I'm in for an "Ultimate Gamer" pledge to Canada. I don't need the figures, but they're pretty cool and will fit in with stuff I'm already working on. :D

Sad truth is that I'll probably never get to play the RPGs...it's nigh impossible to get folks around here to play them. But the books, I'm sure I'll read voraciously as soon as I get them. I'll have to wait a few more days to see if I need to buy the first two books. Maybe they'll add them as free stretch rewards before the end of the campaign!

I think at least some of them must be multi-posable.

I am not sure if they will be multi-posable but they are doing 3 different sculpts for each of the monster types.

They have also added a new stretchgoal for "More Mythos Monsters and Villians" 28mm minis (it was mentioned that some concept art for them would hopefully be available at some point today).

Two further stretchgoals for plastics have also been announced but no further information has been provided yet.

I am a lot more interested now that I know that the mini ruleset they are developing allows for solo play (a specific set of solo play activation cards are provided) and that they will be expanding upon the solo play aspect further in the future.

Only 31 hours to go now, so fingers crossed we hit these goals.
