These are not for gaming, I'm afraid ;).
I'm getting the Knightmodels minis for this. I'm purchasing the Fellowship (when they are released and my economy can afford that), so in the (far distant) future maybe I can make a vignettte/diorama/stand/whatever.
Some time ago I painted Gandalf:

And now here you have Boromir:

I had a problem, the right arm was missing and I had to replace it with green stuff.

The cape was tricky, but I tried to solve it the better I could.

Here you have the whole story:

I'll keep you updated with the rest of the Fellowship (I really hope they don't drop the license as they did with Star Wars! :-X)

Wow :o I am really loving these! Gandalf's robes are fantastic as is his facial expression. Boromir is just outstanding, I can't believe you sculpted an arm for him, it looks really good as does his cloak, I really like the free hand painting on it.
Just fantastic work, keep them coming (when they are released or your bank account can afford them of course ;) )
Cheers,
Damien
btw, if no one has checked out the 'Future Wars board' in a while, Suber has an amazing RT Ork thread going there.

Thank you very much for your kind words! :) The publicity is most welcome as well :D.
I've purchased Aragorn, he will be next (as soon as I can pull some ongoing projects out of my workbench...)
-
Fantastic work indeed! I love how you did Boromir's shield, and Gandalf's face and robes look really natural.
-
Lovely work :-*

Good to hear, I can't wait to see Aragorn painted up. It is easy to advertise your projects 'cause they are all pretty awesome.
Cheers,
Damien

Some great stuff on show here, Suber!
:-*
Great paintwork and the sculpt on Boromir's arm is excellent.
Where is that Aragorn?
We wantses it.... ;D
-
Haha, thanks all of you! :)
Soon, my preciousss, sooon... :D

Well, it's been quite a time since last mini, but here I am again with a misterious Ranger of the North, usually known simply as as Strider...
The face didn't have a beard sculpted...
...so you must paint at least the shade of one.
These pics are awful even by my usual crappy standards. I promise, the mini looks much, much better in the flesh:

Aragorn is wearing Boromir's bracers, so this mini is set in The Two Towers' timeline. I plan to make some kind of vignette when I have the complete Fellowship, but this will make a time incoherence problem :?. Ahhh, it's hard to be obsessive meticulous... :D
All my mumblings about the mini can be seen here:

Next one will be the pointy-eared guy!

I misread the Subject header a looked at these minis thinking: "Wow, who sculpts and paints 1/72 miniatures this well..."

Glad I wasn't the only one!

Great work, Suber!
:-*
The addition of the beard is a good thing, in my opinion, as without it he reminded me more of Grima Wormtongue....
-
Haha, I changed the title, hope that helps ;).
These last pics are shamefully crappy :'(, I must shoot them again :-I.
-
Excellent work! I used to dream of having every Fellowship set out there in all the scales.....then Peter Jackson came along and I realised my mortgage and chidlren might be more important..... :D
-
Looks good but better pics with some close ups would be nice. Show us some WIP of the pointy eared guy too :D
Cheers,
Damien

Agreed! Gandolf and Boromir's faces are great, and I'd like a better view of Aragorn's "beard".
Great job on the mods to Boromir too!

I'll take some better pics of Aragorn, promise.
In the meanwhile, I've finished Legolas.

This one is a tricky [censored] :P: the mini is quite heavy and the base is narrow and a little bit unstable. You need some work to make sure everything fits properly and doesn't wobble (eventually falling down). It happened to me a few times when working.

Nicely done.
You have gotten that imposter Bloom* down to a tee.
Great work, Suber!
:-*
*Legolas is another one of my pet peeves, in the PJ films, in case you have not already guessed. Great paint job, though.
-
Why does he carry a sword? And one with a Rohirric design? ;)
Nicely painted, though.

Only PJ can answer that, I guess!

Haha, that's right! This mini is set during Helm's Deep battle, as you can also see by the shoulderpads. There will be a serious timeline problem whenever I try to assemble the whole Fellowship in a single display...
