In a moment of madness I have decided to organise a Big Game as in hiring a village hall, laying on catering and having two large wargaming tables so that10-12 or more chaps can get together and have game of Back of Beyond.
See my blog roll; http://thelostcityofcarcosa.com/2013/02/17/bob-big-game-june-2013-book-it-now/
As you can see from my blog, I've just helped organised a similar event for AVBCW, and several of the gents are also interested in BoB as well, so we're looking for another 6 or so like minded players to turn up.
At the moment there are two options either a fracas around the Dion in 1918 as germans try and destroy the nascent White Army with varying support from Don Cossacks and Reds who loathe each other...
Or...
A more straight fight based in Tannu Tuva in 1920 as Whites, Reds, Chinese and Mongols fight each other for this territory.
Let me know if you are interested.
Gaming system TBC depending on player/umpire preferences !

Why could it not be Herford Germany? lol
Wish you a great game

This is one of the perils I face, living in the deepest darkest parts of hereford UK.
Actually, its not too far from the M5 and M50 for those players in the Uk.
Honest !

Ok, final calling note for this as I'd like to book caterig, plan the tables, and ensure I have a painting roster for the lead leeches.
The scenario is a German intervention in 1918 to prevent the Whites in the Don/Kuban Region presenting a threat to them and their nominal allies the Bolsheviks after the Brest-Litovsk treaty) whilst secret;y paving the way for controlling the Cossack regions and Georgia.
Any budding Commisars in particular are welcome !
We are now up to nine players:
- Me (White, colourful troops)
- Mort (White)
- Tym (German)
- J (Turks/Germans)
- Rich (Don Cossacks, nominal allies with the Germans from whom they are being supplied)
- John (Reds)
- Roo (Whites)
- Gavin H (Whites, Terek Cossacks)
- Tym (Whites, Kuban Cossacks)
You can see there is scope for treachery, betrayal etc... ;-)
As before, hosted in Burley Gate Village Hall (Hereford), £10 per head including sumptuous lunch, and the option of a curry afterwards at my house just up the road.
PM if interested.
