Nice one Peder 8)

Ooooh, lovely stuff.
Is it just me or does the woman in the red-striped top bear more than a passing resemblance to the girl off the Marks & Spencers adverts?
EDIT: Actually, I'm assuming it's a woman, on second looks I think I see a 5 o'clock shadow!
-
Marks&Spencer girl? I have no idea. About the five o'clock, I watched quite a bit of apache dancing clips on youtube for inspiration and from that I went with a very pale and unhealty silent movie look. Perhaps I didn“t do the blending subtle enough. Or, more likely, with macro photography you really need a ambient lighting source or you'll get real shadows. On the other hand in 'Papillion' there's quite a bit of talk about ladies of the night of ambigous gender.

Morning Hammers!
Yeah, looking closer, I think it's just shading on her face that is getting slightly blurred by the pic. Nothing to worry about, certainly.
The girl I mean is called Erin O'Connor. Google for images of her and you'll see what I mean. She has a very distinctive, very 1920's look about her.
-
You're right, she looks quite a bit like t Erin lass.
-
"Erin" looks like one of the Eureka 20's women???? cunningly painted but who is the one in the window?
-
I was itching to say something rude there but I won't. This isn't Frothers after all.
It is one of Hasslefrees lovely nudes. A real treat to paint. Putting her in that window made me chip her shoulder. It is barely visible but it made me go :x .
-
Thought it would have ben closer than it was.
A tough choice for me.
-
Hammershield's entry smells like cheap cologne and cigarettes.
-
...and has "Valse chaloupee" on musette accordeon as a soundtrack.
-
Lovely stuff Hammers, very atmospheric :)
-
Can I just say, that whilst all lead adventurers will be instinctively drawn to the sleazy, pulp milieu portrayed by Hammers' spiffing entry, that I really really like the effect of the picture on the battlements.
The sunshine and shadow makes it look quite like a real battle beneath the blazing sub-tropical sun.
And a cunning take on the conquistador theme to go for a Goan (?) setting!
-
Couldn't agree more.

True indeed, but I really would have liked to see more of the figures ...

She looks like Mapi Galan (the woman hired to vamp One in "City of Lost Children").
Who makes that figure, anyway...?

Eureka. They make a set of four 1920ies women.

Not like me to side with the French (lol) but the photos sway my vote on this one more than anything else...

"but the photos sway my vote on this one more than anything else..."
thats Hammers new camera that is or if the picture was submitted prior to its arrival it just goes to show that his wife really did purchase it for her own ends
