Title: A start on some Mordheim terrain.
Post by: smokezombie on 20 February 2013, 10:48:57 PM
Hey all.

I'm having a bit of a slow start to the year painting wise. Last weekend I made a bit of progress on a bridge that I've wanted to build for mordheim.

With the surface down.

Done and undercoated

And with some lads in for scale.

Cheers boys. I didn't make the railings. It was a steal from an old scaletrix set that was knocking about and I needed a proper way to cross the canal pieces I made ( that are also unpainted). I rather like it actually  :D

Thank you - I was just about to ask where the bridge sides came from.

Time for ebay searching I think.

Thanks for all the nice comments chaps. It really helps to bring the enthusiasm back.

What's next? I guess I'll have to paint the bugger now  :D actually I'm trying to get some paint on a few pieces I made a couple of years ago. Two rubble piles and a well. My terrain is all a bit cartoony really. Not like the fancy pants stuff that usually graces LAF.
I'm also trying to build a couple of statues. Early stages at the mo.

Looking good, mate.
Keep it up!

As for looking 'cartoony', I must disagree.
People have very different styles when it comes to making scenery in the same way peoples painting styles vary.

Some people are very different to others and do not match well, but if you are making all your own scenery for a project, the overall effect will look great.

Having a distinctive style is like a signature.
Your style reminds me a little of Aggro84's buildings, which I happen to think are wonderful creations.

Keep on building.
Now!!!!
