Hello all, I'm pleased to announce that my Imperial Beastmen have been published in the Combat Zone Chronicles. Read all about it here:

Lovely as always -- I need to pick some of those up as soon as my score allows!
-
Yes! That was exactly what I was looking for.
I will copy tour idea for my Rogue Trader group
-
What a lovely nice group you have joined up there! :-*
Love the models and the colour combinations, great job! :)
-
these are great! i may have to invest in some!
-
Top paintjobs there! great work. :)
-
You've brought out the character those beastmen really nicely, and your trader may have sold me on the Spacelords range as a whole. Good stuff!
-
Thanks all, I'm definitely sold on the spacelords range. I haven't ventured out of the beastmen and civilian ranges but I think I may in the future. They have a great sense of character about them that I love!
-
Those look great! It's too bad GW struck all these fun figures types from the 40k universe. Good to see other companies are producing figures that can be used a replacements.
-
Great looking group of models! :-*
-
Thanks! 8)

Very nice! I used the same batch of Metal Magic Phagons for my Rogue Trader beastmen, way back in 1991 or so. They are such great models!
-
I think what's great about your use of the Metal Magic figures is the scale difference between them and the GW Space Marine. The Space Marine looks properly large and imposing next to them, as he should!
Brilliant painting, too!

Very nice Pil, they have some true RT era flair to them. They really some lovely minis, after having seen both yours and Jonas' version, they do look rather tempting.

In an era where 'true scaling' is common amongst 40k, it could be interesting instead to true scale guardsmen and the like using true 25mm minis, instead of 28's.

Yes. Metal Magic work well for this. Denizen Sci-Fi, old GZG 25mm stuff. Anything else come to mind?

They were pretty the ones I could think of. Then there's the old Starguard stuff, but don't really know how they size up.

It's been a long time since I've played with Starguard minis in the lead, but my instinct would be to say that they're even smaller than Metal Magic and the like.

They are at least a head smaller, and not nearly as well sculpted, with a few exceptions. They're quaint, but best used within their own collection of figures, IMHO.
