This is the 2nd game of X-wing I have played and the first one my wife has played. We played an 8 turn game in a couple of hours stumbling through the rules. This is a pretty solid game. It's easy to play and fun and the pre-painted minis for it actually look good.
After going to the demo today at my FLGS I purchased 5 more ships for the game and then came home and painted up this starfield board in a couple hours.
Here is the report:http://ironworkersminiatures.blogspot.com/2013/03/x-wing-courier-escort-game-report.html (http://ironworkersminiatures.blogspot.com/2013/03/x-wing-courier-escort-game-report.html)

The original Wings of War was brilliant...this is a nice rendition. I am also excited about the Napoleon naval warfare game Ares will be producing. Glad you like it. I don't like Star Wars enough to go about collecting any, but I'd play it for laughs without hesitation. Nice mat you have there too! GF9?

The mat is a piece of Masonite I painted up just before playing the game.

Nice battle report. I think Ill porba ly pick that game up some time soon. Ive been eyeing it for a while now. I really like your gaming surface. Most of the home-made space boards I see look home-made. Yours does not. Just use spray paints?
