I've got an article in the new issue of Ravage Magazine US about assembling and painting a Skaard Abomination from the game Dark Age. It's an excellent model and I had a lot of fun with it.
If you haven't checked out Ravage Magazine you should have a look. It has six separate modeling and painting articles as well as lots of reviews and special scenarios for games like Dust Tactics, Zombicide, Sedition Wars and Mercs. Although it is published by Cool Mini or Not they are doing a great job of covering other manufacturer's games and presenting everything in a slick, good looking package.

I was just browsing issues 2 - 6 this past weekend at Cold Wars. I didn't look hard enough to see your article. I do say though looking at the pics here that is a rusty snazzy piece of menacing mayhem you have created there Roe. Looking real good indeed. Roughly just how tall is that fig?

As i mentioned above i had the chance to quickly look over issues 2 - 6 on Saturday at the con. I did like what i saw. The hobby articles are usually what catches my eye in a gaming mag. I seriously considered buying all the issues but two things stopped me. They didn't have issue #1 and the vendor didn't understand the concept of a convention price. Why would i buy em at full price from a vendor i dont care to deal with when i can get em from a local source in my area. :-)
But seriously, i have looked at them before. The magazine does look solid. Just wish that it was either a lesser price or a large content issue.

It's 95mm or so. I'll try to take some comparison pics at some point.

I'm actually pretty impressed that it's only $7.00 an issue. Publishing a print magazine is a hugely expensive deal nowadays. I'm sure that they'll start a digital version at some point which should come in at a lower price. But I still like to read on paper. o_o

So nearly 4 inches eh? That is a good sized mini.

Yeah $7 an issue is alright i guess, but as i said already, wish it had more pages in the mag. I agree that i like paper as well. But as i sit here and look at my collection of WD mags digital format is more appealing. And i am just looking at my WD collection only at this time. :-)
