Just seen (what I guess was) the pilot episode of this series.
Might be of interest to pulp players

Its a pretty decant show. With lots of random pulpy like goodness.

TV series?
On DVD?

TV series?
TV series. UK Freeview "Pick TV" (channel 11?).
Seems to be on most weeknights (except Thursday which is some sort of Sky preview night).
Warehouse 13 replaces Enterprise in the 7pm slot, followed by Stargate at 8.

Looks interesting.
But I have no doubt it will never come to Australian tv and I will have to search for it on dvd... Eventually. :?

Same here. :( No joy for us poor far-flung small islands.

Melnibonean & others from here,
It has been on TV here, I've been watching it for the last two years or so. Not on at the moment, and usually a non-ratings show, but it did reappear for a week or two recently. Can't recall the channel, but it was free to air on Friday evenings late last year. In Melbourne, anyway. Not bad, either.

SyFy channel has been carrying it here in the states for the last 3 years, I think. It's one that both the wife and I can agree on. Neat stories that would make good one-off scenarios. I love that HG Wells is still alive (and a woman).

I have watched it frequently. It is one of my favorite TV shows. Group of special invetigators hunt down & retrieve dangerous artifacts then put them into a "secure" warehouse. Great plots & stories. Hadn't really thought about playing them out. Guess I'll have to watch them more closely in the future.

That Warehouse 13 series does have Pulp potential. I like that series, and I never thought about it as a Pulp scenario generator. I suppose one could project the series back into the 1920's & 1930's to give it an even greater Pulp feel, much the way someone has done a retro version of Stargate.

Part of the backstory to the series is that the dangerous artifacts have been stored in various warehouse incarnations throughout history. The 13th is run by the U.S. govt. Previous ones were located in Egypt, Babylon, British Empire etc. They even visited the sealed ruis of the Egyptian warehouse in one episode. So it's easy to move through history to whatever period fits your game. The SyFy channel website has some backhistory on the show for those interested.

There’s surely some game potential/inspiration in this series. Maybe, especially, with all that’s not say but just suggested (like the fact that "Warehouse" go waaaaay back).
One thing I don’t get is why there’s a 6 months gaps between this season’s episodes 10 and 11…
The Zero Hour (US) series was looking interesting too for gaming inspiration but it got cancelled after only three episodes where aired… they’re supposed to be back on air this summer though… we’ll see.

I thought Zero Hour was a good show. I do hope that it does come back.

Update to all in Australia - I just saw the show is on again (in that haphazard way of programming we have) Monday night (tomorrow as I write), starting at 23:56 (!) on 7Mate.
