Title: My 28mm Navy
Post by: Johnnytodd on 15 March 2013, 08:49:14 PM
Here's my latest scratchbuild - 26ft motor whaleboat - not the sexiest boat but useful for skirmish games.

I didn't have a measured drawing so I just worked from photos like this one:

That is fantastic work. I'd almost want to paint it in bright colours and show it off than the real grey paint job :)

Very nice  8)

Is that mainly 0.8/1mm plywood that you're using?

cheers

Yes,  .8mm = I dip small strips in a glass of boiling (microwave) water and they bend like Beckham !  The slatted floor comes pre-cut in basswood sheet.

awesome maritime stuff!

I also would have painted it in more brighter colors, maybe even some simple wooden-colors, shiny finish ... however, most likely that wouldn't have looked like that military-style of yours.

either way: very well done!

best wishes
DK
