Title: Hello from Bedford, UK.
Post by: Legionnaire on 18 March 2013, 11:32:02 PM
I thought I should pop in and introduce myself first. I'm a Swede by birth, but have been living in the UK since 2005. I started playing RPG's in the mid-80's and never looked back. I still play but very rarely these days. Anyway, wargaming was quite unknown to me until about 6 years ago, when I joined the local gaming club. I started out with a few Old West minis from Black Scorpion and have added a little bit to a small collection. I play skirmish games and favour Old West/ Superheroes/ Post-Apocalyptic games. Sadly, most times I play these games solo as most members of the club favour the GW or WWI/WWII variety...

Welcome aboard!

Not sure as a Bucks resident I'm allowed to say hello to someone of a Bedfordshire slant.

Bucks, shmucks...  :D

I survived two years in Luton, but claim no other allegiances than to the County of Gotland, under the domain of the King and Queen of Sweden! So we should be just fine, despite the rustle of arms along the borders between Beds and Bucks.  lol

Hello, and welcome to the forum.  I do have some opportunities to play with others (mostly D&D and Mordheim), but I quite enjoy some solo gaming as well (mainly Mordheim).

This forum is full of nice folks, and I hope and think you will enjoy your time here.

-Michael

P.S. Haven't really played Western games, but had to buy some of those Black Scorpion miniatures myself.

No, I've never been. Perhaps once my house move (still within Bedfordshire!) is finally sorted I'll have time to give them a try?

Well welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find plenty going on here to keep your interest. And I am also sure you will find plenty of others here to game with in your area who have similar intrests. Those boards are thick with them.
