Hello Everybody.
Spent alot of time reading the forums trying to speed my dull working day along.
Thought you might like to see this Star Wars terrain I've been messing around with for a few months.
Made from foam core, card and the bits and pieces scavenged from the street, then painted in various Farrow and Ball tester pots (mos Eisley has gone very middle class recently).
-
That is fantastic!Excellent work and welcome to LAF.
-
Pretty cool, what scale is your Terrain?
-
Very nicely done and a great way to introduce yourself here on LAF!

There's a woc stormtrooper there so that should give you an idea... 28-30mm minis.
-
Welcome and great work!
-
Dreamt of something similar for years. I got as farvas one building! I have a few sets of the Micro Machine sets that I planned to use dress the buildings as you have.
Lovely stuff!
-
Wow! Now this is what I call an appropriate first post to introduce yourself to a forum. Welcome, you are an artist!

Great terrain and a memorable way to introduce yourself here on LAF!
Looks like at least some of the roofs come off?

As the lads have said: A great way to introduce yorself.
Welcome aboard!
Have been considering starting my own Mos Eisley(esque) project this year, so this is most appreciated for ideas to steal.
Cheers!

I have never seen a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

I have never seen a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
lol
Talk about making an entrance! Beautifully done.
-
Thanks everybody for the friendly welcome and kind comments.
To answer a few questions, the scale is 28mm, somebody rightly spotted the WOTC Star Wars figures in a couple of the photos.
Two of the roofs are removable, most notably the Cantina which was the first building I made and everything else sprouted up around it.
I have added another few pitures for those interested.
thanks again.
-
Oh, it has the Cantina too. Sweet baby Jesus.
-
Marvellous! Love the Tardis. I'll try not to envy you for wasting time on LAF at work. :D
All the buildings are fixed to the board, right?
-
Outstanding, just outstanding.
Welcome to LAF.
-
Brilliant!
The Tardis made me chuckle… lol
-
Fantastic - yes that little blue box certainly gets around I could swear I saw it on my table just the other day.
-
Oooh!
More pictures!
:-* :-*
Much appreciated, as I could do with all the inspiration that you can throw about!
:D ;) :D
-
Nice!
....but can you bullseye wamp rats on your T-16 back home? ;D
-
Wow. Amazing work. I assume you used those craft store white styrofoam balls for the dome roofs? That's what really says "Tattooine architecture" to me.
Fantastic!!! I swear I can hear this :D
Ooh... so can I, now lol
-
I can hear this too...

Glad you shared the inside of the cantina - that looks great!
-
Wow that's pretty sick. Amazing work, I love the colors. Looks like fun!
-

Yeah, I forgot to mention, that drinks contraption is amazing!
-
Glad you like it. The domes are actually clear hard plastic rather than the polystyrene type. I find they give a crisper finish when painted.
I tried to mix the colours of the buildings using different shades of cream, although when the weathering was done some of the subtleties were lost.
-
Yep, I can hear the music too..
now, are You going to tell us how Dr. Who got there? ;)
-
Really great table! I really love your Cantina!
-
