I was lucky enough to be sent some casts of the new Grymn powered armour from Hasslefree Miniatures so I thought I'd share some pics:

I will have some more pictures of clawed variants later this week :)

Great stuff 8). Love those designs. If I'd be playing 40K, I'd be playing Grymn as Space Marines. These are perfect as Terminators. Oh wait, that was on purpose :P
-
I am impatiently waiting for them to go up on the HF store!
-
Best Grymn so far, imho.
PA troops make the most sense in any futuristic battle with mortal combatants involves.
-
They done have a rather nice aesthetic to them.
-
I like the looks - other than the rather...common looking legs. Nice sculpts though.
-
Something I drew to try and demonstrate how the Grymn fits in the suit. It also explains the width of the armour and why the crotch looks so wide:

[...] why the crotch looks so wide [...]
:o ... maybe Grymn are more ballsy than other species ... lol

A pair of troopers with power claws:

wow,looks Ace :o
So,how many of those little Buggers are we going to see from you this Year? lol assuming you will need at least 3-4 Squads for all your Grymn Armies, not to mention their potential for the Beetlebots,Mondrians or your Superhero Games 8) :D
-
Ooh - smart!

A platoon of them in this colour scheme plus a few others in standard grey colours to fit into the brigade command for the Urban Army... probably about thirty but maybe more :)
I won't be using them for the Beetle-bots or the Mondrians and I sculpt the supers myself (well... all the Grymn ones at any rate). My other armies have their own style and these aren't for them. I was always going to use these for the urban army.

Nice concept looking especially good in that 'dazzle' style camo pattern.
:-*

Great looking figures.
tt43.

Cheers :) .
Here is a group shot of all the powered armour together:

Nice models and as always your PJ gives them character in a way that always reminds me of 90's cartoons. (in a good way!)
I was wondering do you happen to have any 15mm scale models around to take a scale pic with? these might work as power armor/mechs or robots in that scale as well.
-
Nice work on nice models. No use for them myself but do like them.
-
Thank you :)
For anyone who is interested, there are some resin masters for auction here:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Hasslefree-Minis?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
...and it looks like they are getting VERY close to releasing the metal ones (maybe this weekend?).
I'm not going to order any...
... OK, I am :-*
-
They look really nice in that camo scheme. Well done!
-
Cheers :)
In other news, these are now available from HF in metal from here:

You always amaze me!

You always amaze me!
In a good way, I hope :).
Here's what's on offer:
As you can see, you need to order the bodies and arms separately but that gives you supreme control over how you want your squads to be organised. I think the Mini-gun with a power shield would be quite cool - maximum damage with maximum defence :).
I can't wait for my latest parcel to arrive... :-*

WIP pix of the metal troops and a completed command squad:

I am planning to pick up about ten of these little guys when finances allow. Inso, do you think that you could put one of these models next to a plastic Mantic Forgefather and take a photo some time? How do the new suits compare to the older bare headed grymm in armour thats been around for a few years (Torsten (http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=torsten~hfg390&category=miniatures~grymn-specialists))?
In general the grymm are a bit titchy alongside the Mantic stuff, but I am hoping that the I can get away with using these power armpured models alongside.
The camo armour looks great :)

I'll post something later on... New P/A, Torsten, Plastic Forgefather.
I reckon it will depend on whether you are happy using the plastic FF and the resin ones together (with the obvious size difference). I think that the Grymn powered armour would work well against the resin ones but may be a push for the larger, plastic forgefathers... but a pic will tidy things up so I'll post one later.
-
Sorry, I couldn't get to a Torsten model but here is a comparison pic:
I think it works for either Forge Father... but definitely the resin one.
For info, the legs on the new powered armour are the same as the ones on Torsten's armour so you can assume they will go together OK.

Thanks for taking the time to do this: I appreciate it.

The plastic guy looks a little more chunky in comparison alright, but within parameters for me. The PA troopers wont be standing, parade ground-like with the regular troops anyway. Im gonna have to start squirreling some cash away for those guys.

Thats interesting. Torsten looks a bit like a shrunken little old guy next to the Mantic figures. Are the PA bodies a little chunkier than Torsten I wonder? They look a little taller and a fraction wider in your photo.
Thanks again for taking the photo, nice one.
-
I will dig out a Torsten this evening and see if I can get a pic... wish me luck (I have a fair few cases to look through but fortunatley they are labelled :) )

Thats very kind Inso, but dont inconvenience yourself too much. The photo shown gives me the information that I need. I am simply curious to see if Torsten is a bit smaller than the new PA.
-
I love the colour scheme, Inso. Great work :-*
-
Cheers :)
Here's the comparison with some Torsten/conversions :) :
Height wise they fit fine and the legs are very similar... it is the torsos on the new miniatures that are bulked up.
-

Thanks again Inso. I prefer the slightly bulkier look of the new armour. It definitely makes the figures more cross-compatible too.

I agree. The latest version of the armour is quite compatible with other Dwarf types and also smaller scales as a landmate because of the almost cockpit-like helmet.
I love these new suits but would have also loved it if these were made:

They shout out Traveller, Imperial heavy armour and look like beefed up Torsten suits. It is a shame that they never reached fruition... but the new suits make up for it :) .
