I just got these horrible news from the Facebook page of Fenris Games:
Awful news: Kev Adams, one of the nicest, gentlest blokes you could meet, and creator of thousands of goblins, orcs, and assorted other classic 28mm models, has been stabbed in his own home by burglars and is now in hospital.
Best wishes to Kev and all of his family, here's hoping for a swift recovery and suitable punishment for the cowards involved.
-
Speedy recovery to him! Hopefully the perps will be caught and punished >:(
-
Wow, thats a terrible piece of news to hear about anybody.
-
Lets all hope that Kev makes speedy recovery and the burglars are strung up by their balls!
-
What a terrible thing to hear -- I hope that he's better soon.
-
That's absolutely shocking!
Let's hope Kev has a speedy recovery.
-
All the best to Kev and heres hoping he makes a swift recovery.
Heres hoping the scumbags get whats coming to them!
I hope they choose to burgle the 'wrong' house next time.
-
Awful news.
Best wishes to Kev and his family
-
Here's hoping his injuries weren't to severe. Speedy recovery!
-
:o in his own home?! its a shame that kind of thing happen in your own home, sounds like crazy stuff.
Lets hope he will be fine soon.
-
Ye gods! That's shocking! I hope they get the scum.
-
Speedy recovery to him! Hopefully the perps will be caught and punished >:(
This sort of thing sickens me..... I with Kev Adams a speedy recovery.
I really hope they do get punished! >:(
-
That`s terrible. I hope he gets better soon.
-
Awful news. Very best wishes to Kev for a speedy recovery.

Update from Fenris Games:
Further to my earlier post re: Kev Adams, attacked and stabbed by burglars in his own home yesterday. Kev's in hospital and we're waiting for better news.
As somebody who's adored and collected Kev's work forever, and especially since we've got several of his sculpts in our range, I'm going to try and see if we can raise some money for Kev to help with his recovery. Jason Wiebe has already offered to sculpt a goblin which we'll get cast to raise funds, and I'd like to ask anyone with Kev's work in their catalogue if they'd mind having a collection tin on their stands at Salute (Warlords permitting) to raise a few quid more.
Meanwhile if anyone wants to send cards, etc for Kev I'll be happy to forward them on to him in the meanwhile.
-
Another update: Tre Manor (Red Box Games) and Stu Powley (SLAP minis) have both offered to sculpt new goblins to help raise some funds for Kev's recovery. I'm going to try and twist Snuurg's arm, too.
-
It's a crime against goblinity and should be punished accordingly. >:(
Now I feel like painting only Kev Adams goblins for the whole LPL.
-
Awful news. I'd like to join everyone else in sending my best to The Goblin King and his family and wish him a speedy recovery.
-
Terrible news :( Sending my best wishes to Kev and his family.
-
Sad to hear, hope he makes a speedy recovery.
-
Horrible news :(
-
That's dreadful news! I pray he recovers soon and completely.
-
Terrible & shocking news :(
-
I don't know the guy but wish him all the best and a full and quick recovery. As for the scumbags who did this, even if they are caught banged to rights the punishment they get will not fit the crime but let's hope they catch them anyway. I won't be at Salute is there another way to contribute to his recovery fund ?
-

There will be, the plan is to have a set of miniatures for purchase (all goblins, of course!) wth all proceeds going to Kev. Going to look into ins and outs of the various Charity funding sites to see whether we can use them to manage the funding.
-
Whats the word from the hospital on Kevs condition?
None as yet :-I
-
It's a bit more serious than that, mate:

4.25PM?
F**k me… Thieving scum. I am truly appalled.
-
This is terrible news...
Wish him all the best.
-
Poor guy, hope he recovers both physically and psychologically in record time!
-
I am not familiar with the gentleman, but I will join in with the rest of you and give may most sincere well-wishes to a speedy and successful recovery. Being burglared at knife-point in your own home in broad daylight :o Thuggery knows no boundaries!!!
-
Lets all hope that Kev makes speedy recovery and the burglars are strung up by their balls!
Couldn't have said it better !
-
Unbelievable. :( I hope he has a speedy recovery, and that justice is done.
-
Awful news. This makes me really really f***ing angry! No doubt even if they get caught they will be given some soft touch sentence.
My best wishes for Kev's speedy recovery. The physical injuries might not be the worst of it given that it happened in his own home. Everyone should be able to feel safe there.
-
Wow. That is horrible. Hopefully they catch them before they hurt some one else. Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery for Kev.
-
Bloody terrible news. All the best to Kev for his swift recovery. Hope the plods collar and lock up these thugs asap.
-
For those that Facebook a page has been set up to coordinate efforts:

-
Scumbags... I hope Kev recovers fully and quickly.
-
FUCK !! realy bad news ...wish MR. Adams all the best ....
and I wish the bad guys a very hard punishment .
-
Not much I can add to the above comments - The crooks are real bums and deserve all they get.
I hope Kev gets better very soon, best wishes.
Tony
-
That's simply horrible!
Although I don't know Kev I feel for him and hope he gets well soon.
And I hope they'll get those bloody bastards and justice will be served!
-
Best wishes to Mr. Adams for a full recovery.
-
Arse holes >:(.
I hope they get them but I doubt it. Makes me sick. Wishing Kev a speedy recovery.
Mark
-
I'll join in the well-wishing, I've always liked the goofy grins on his models.
Let's hope he recovers fully and the &*%#@ who did it get the maximum penalty for this horrible crime.
-
I hope Kev got in a couple good shots and that at least one of these turds has a broken nose or swollen shut eye.
-
Best wishes to him and his family.
May justice be done to the attackers, no more no less.
-
Sad story, I wish him well too. Hope he recovers from the mental trauma as well. I would not like to be attacked in my own home and would suffer of a certain paranoia after, I guess.
-
Wow, that's awful news. Hope he recovers quickly. And I hope the creepy-crawlies that he'll suffer from being attacked at home will disappear rapidly.
-
May justice be done to the attackers, no more no less.
Amen!
-
Some 'good' news - I've just heard that Kev's out of hospital.
He was stabbed in the face and chest and they took a knuckle duster to his face and broke his cheek bone.
But he will need an op to add some plates.
His nose was broken in a number of places but his eyes and hands are fine which means that he'll, hopefully, be back to work soonish.
-
That is truly awful, but could've ended much worse.
I hope Kev recovers soon.
-
Bloody Nottingham!
Hope Kev makes a swift recovery.
-
Just came across this on Facebook.
Terrible crime. Hopefully the publicity will lead to justice.
-
A speedy recovery for Kev and I hope they caught the guys soon >:D
-
Well count me in for support! Also if there is anything we can do at Broken Egg Games please let me know!
-
Nasty business, but glad he is out of hospital and hopefully headed toward a speedy recovery.
-
What a nightmare! Get well soon mate!
-
Wishing him a speedy recovery! I will post about the GoblinAid action on my blog later this day.
-
I would like to add my good wishes for a speedy recovery.
-
Awful, awful thing to happen. God speed a swift recovery. Kev does a lot of volunteer work with local people, he really is a thoroughly decent bloke. No-one deserves this. I've donated a Goblin Collector form the Collecting Citadel Miniatures Group to the auction - a brilliant sculpt of a goblin looking at a miniature figure from his bag of minis whilst a smaller goblin tries to look at it as well. Great idea for the fundraiser Dags.

-
Anyone know if there will be any collections or anything for Kev at a Call to Muster in Middlesbrough tomorrow?
-
Get well soon Kev!

As I work freelance in a home based studio, my biggest concern is when something like this happens to you, in your home, how can you will feel sure in home again? or how you will dare to stay working in your studio alone again?
Apart from the physical wounds the shock of such kind of assault has to last for long.
I'm very sorry for him.

True ! A couple of years they broke into my garage (which is underground as i live in an appartement) and stole my car stereo.
I felt unconfortable the next months when entering the garage, especially at night. Can't even imagine how one must feel after what Mr. Adams been through.
I guess I'd put bars on all windows and enough locks & safety doors to keep a giant out :( and become a member of a gun club so i could own one >:D
-
wishes of a quick recovery, the world needs more goblins!
-
My prayers for a quick recovery. I hope the perps are caught and given the full measure of the law! >:(

Latest we've heard:
Hi Tim
Thanks for caring , ive had loads of suport wich is great , i'm not on favebook and cant see poperlt so typings bad
I got three masked idiots in hoods with faces covered who got in my house when i was up here and cornered me in my loft , i got a knife pressed into my face and one of them kept hitting me in face hard with knuckleduster so all my cheekbones are smashed to bits and i look like elephant man , nose is broke in three places and one teeth broken and i cant eat so am having to drink gren goblin juice LOL , they wanted weed and money and jewellery but they had got the wrong house and i wouldnt entertain them and stood up to them hence the injuries so they gave up and made off with my imac .
the slags did similar to an 80 year old lady and tried to suffocate her with plastic bag . last night according to police they did two more raids and hurt people ,
they are being charged with attempted murder on me because my injuries are so severe and of course aggravated burglary but they need to catch them first .
i'm more annoyed at how traumatised my family are and they said they will kill me if police are called but none of them scared me as they all had faces covered up and are little cowards .
if they turn up i'm ready for them and will smash them with my cricket bat because they are nothing as i was caught off guard .
i didnt fight them in close confines of loft because i have a family to care for and in close quarters could have been fatally stabbed and its not worth getting killed over an imac .
Ive got to dash as my partner needs me nearby but will be back working as soon as i can see again .
dont worry i'm a tough old bird and wont be beaten by a bunch of mugs .
you can post this on facebook if you like so everyone knows what happened .
ive got to have a load of metal plates in my face so will get rid of my wrinklelsLLOL
Kev
Confirmed sculptors so far, making 28mm goblins to raise funds to help Kev out:
Tre Manor (RedBox Games)
Jason Wiebe (Reaper, etc)
Chaz Elliot (WotC, Citadel, etc)
Des Hanley (Otherworld)
Alex Bates (Forge of Ice)
Steven Marchant (Inso)
Stuart Powley (SLAP minis)
Mark Evans (Fenris, Crooked Dice, etc)
Vermis (Hasslefree, etc)
David Drage (Iron Mammoth)
Matt Gubser (Dark Age, Rusted Heroes, etc)
Minis to be moulded & cast by Paul Reid (Ral Partha Europe)
Resin bases from me to accompany the set.
Assorted painters have offered their services, too, but I'm holding off on further details 'till we can nail something more concrete down in terms of what needs doing, etc.
Hope that suits everyone who's offered their time & services.
Need to get a bank account organised next so that we can take PayPal donations from anyone who can't find us in person.
Mac @ South London Warlords/ Salute has okayed us for collecting tins on the day, so there'll also be goblin green shaky tins on a number of trade stalls for you to throw any spare change into.
-
Best wishes !
-
Here's hoping Kev gets well soon after this terrible experience.
We're all thinking of you!
-
The quote from him goes to show; don't f**k with the Goblin Mater! I hope they catch the gits, as I am pleased to see they are being charged sensibly and not going to get off with the usual slap on the wrist this country gives.
-
This is terrible news! I hope Kev gets well soon.
-
Nice to hear he is doing well!
Now, I read on the FB page that some folks are offering sculpts for a raffle or an auction. How will this be taking place? Will it be done online and open to folks worldwide?
-
Thanks for then update, Geronimo!
-

Yes, it will. I've just set up a dedicated eBay page, bank account, and PayPal email and now really need to get on and do some Fenris prep for Salute....FB will be the first port of call for new updates but I'll try and post here, too....
-
For those who are interested, I'm offering some of Kev's original character greens from my range for the auction. A unique chance to own a little piece of KA history. More info will follow on the facebook page.
-
Fast recovery for Kev :/ . These things make me hate mankind...
-
Looks like its coming together nicely. One thought I had after seeing the picture of Kev on the FB page - he should sculpt a goblin likeness of himself and name it 'the defiant goblin' or something to commemorate his steadfast resolve and upbeat spirit in the face of such a traumatic event (or perhaps it might be an idea for one of the sculptors offering to sculpt goblins for the fundraiser). I guess Mr. Adams would have to agree with the idea as well - he may just as well want to forget the ordeal as soon as possible rather than have it immortalized in goblindom... Thoughts?
-
Dude!
Just read this.
Bummer, speedy recovery.
Gracias,
Glenn
-
Wow sad news indeed but I am glad Kev Adams is alive. My favorite goblin is sculpted by him.
Well wishes to him!
-
Latest update:
Morning all :)
Kev seems in good spirits despite everything and is looking forward to getting back to sculpting more of the models we all love.
Meanwhile to update how things stand:
Our initial aim is to produce a set of 28mm goblins which will only be available as a set, and only for a limited time. All of the sculptors who've offered to help are donating their work for free at what is an especially busy time of year (especially for the UK trade), and Paul Reid of Ral Partha Europe has also generously offered his casting & distribution services to see the project through.
Additionally, we've had numerous offers of painted models, classic Kev sculpts, existing catalogue models from a number of firms, scenery, rulesets, and original greens/masters sculpted by Kev, all of which we're planning on auctioning off on a dedicated eBay page somewhere down the line. We've got a dedicated bank account and PayPal account which will be able to accept direct donations once we've ironed out a few things.
Our list of sculptors who've offered to donate their time and skills so far includes:
Tre Manor (RedBox Games)
Jason Wiebe (Reaper, etc)
Chaz Elliot (WotC, Citadel, etc)
Des Hanley (Otherworld)
Alex Bates (Forge of Ice)
Steven Marchant (Inso)
Stuart Powley (SLAP minis)
Mark Evans (Crooked Dice, Fenris, etc)
Warren Beattie (Hasslefree, etc)
David Drage (Iron Mammoth, Scheltrum, etc)
Matt Gubser (Dark Age, Rusted heroes, etc)
Sylvain (Golgo Island)
Kev White (Hasslefree)
Davide Tedeschi (Shieldwolf)George Fairlamb (Black Cat bases, Fenris etc)
Bill Thornhill (Musketeer)
Gary Morley (GW, etc)
Mark Craggs (World of Twilight)
Phil Hynes (Monstertown USA)
for a grand total of 19 goblins, more than enough for a truly nasty warband :)
Apologies again for the slightly random and irregular nature of our updates on here, everyone involved at GoblinAid also has full-time work and this next month is our busiest time of the year as we approach Salute. We're hoping to have most of the finished masters ready for display at Salute, and South London Warlords have generously agreed to let us rattle a few collection tins there on the day, too, so you'll be able to help out directly if you can't wait for the production sets of minis.
Thanks again for all the support and for sharing this page and its' news elsewhere. Kev really appreciates the support, he's a humble sort of bloke with a Karmic what-goes-around kind of attitude, so lets hope we can all be the agent of Karma in this instance and give back some of the pleasure he's given all of us over the past 30-odd years :)
-
Shocking and saddening to hear about this but the response is nothing short of stunning too.
Good people are very special but good people confronted with a bad situation really makes them step up their game.
Any damage to faiths in humanity should be more than balanced by this all.
:)
-
All the best to Kev.
Speedy recovery ;)
-
I just heard about this. Just horrible, I hope they get those sods.
Kev, the best of luck and a speedy recovery!
-
>:( Sad, very sad!! Hope he get well soon!!
-
Been busy for weeks, so I just found the time to read this thread today. I'm shocked, but also glad to hear he is allready on the way to revovery.
-
We've just had a message from Kev on GoblinAid:
I would like to say a massive thanks to everybody out there who is concerned about what we have gone through and who are giving their time in so many kind ways to help , its humbling and i didnt realise so many cared so this webpage is a klovely suprise thats cheering me up .
I feel bad that i'm not speaking to any of the posters on there but my head cant handle it at the moment , i'm not myself and probably concussed and brains knocked a bit loose as i took some serious knocks , eyes arent good either for typing and i'm now on an old pc thats very slow and not only that but i'm not a social networking type as a few people know and am very solitary and dont socialise very much but a lot of its because i spend most of the time working .
Naturally i will keep everybody posted on how things are moving here . ive had friends round and neighbours plus family and have the police to keep dealing with regarding what happened and they do ask lots of questions that get tiring as you can imagine so feel pretty drained and need some rest but i will be back to normal before long :)
I live in a solitary world making models and rarely see people so its awe inspiring to know i have so many admirers around the world.
thanks for your support as well , its really appreciated .
kev

Oh man, that´s horrible!
Glad to hear that he´s recovering though. I wish him a fast and complete recovery!!
-
Seriously hope they catch the btards, and they have fun picking up the soap in prison.
-
That's just dam awful. Speed recovery.
-
Get well soon Kevin :),but take your time ;)
-
Kev wrote me he will be undergoing surgery first thing tomorrow morning! (Today) They are going to keep him there overnight as they want to make sure he won't lose sight in his right eye as it dropped due to the smashed eye socket. They told Kev he might be back to 'normal' within two weeks which is great news of course!
On another very positive note, the guys over at Renegade got into contact with Kev and told him they are going to start producing some of the new orcs done by him and are very generously offering him 50%!!! of the sales! And on top of that they are going to auction off some painted fantasy stuff to boot to raise even more funds! Hats off to you guys! :D
Kev is over the moon as he really wanted to see the orcs released! Believe my word on it that Kev is quite overwhelmed and humbled by the support of everyone and is feeling so much better because of it!
-
I just wish Kev a quick, speedy and full recovery.
-
Have finally got a live, dedicated PayPal account and bank account sorted to take donations and proceeds from any auctions we run on the GA eBay account.
Donations can be made directly to goblinaidATfenrisgamesDOTcom. For the time being, please note that we can only accept donations and not payments made on deposit against the charity mini set - it's just too much admin for us at this stage.
When we've got a full set of sculpts and costs/payment details for the charity minis we'll be posting here, obviously, but for the time being this is available for those of you who've expressed a desire just to donate something.

Oh wow! All the best to Kev! I am glad he is doing better.

Renegade:
http://www.renegademiniatures.com/
That's what I thought it was, but they don't have any fantasy stuff that I can see. Does this mean they are going to start producing fantasy miniatures?
-
Yes - Kev sculpted them a while back
-
I guess nothing can be more horrible than being mugged in your own home. Best wishes.

Here are those Renegade orcs:
I'd emailed them about producing the greens just days before Kev was attacked and then when GoblinAid took off I sent them another with a link to the FB page and then ta-da!. Whether it was my emails or not doesn't matter to me even slightly - Renegade have done a Good Thing, we get the orcs, and Kev's fund gets the money. Hurrah! Medals and promotions all round :D
PS - I first found these images on the Kev Adams Challenge blog (http://kevadamschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/)
-
:o :-* those look very nice...I'll keep an eye on that development for sure.
Best of Luck Kev...take care of yourself and take it slow...you'll be back in action before you know it.
Cheers,
Blue

Those are amazing! So nice of Renegade to do what they are doing
-
Definitely going to want those orcs!

Haven't been here for a while...my heart turned to ice but the support from the community is heart warming. However the truth is we are not safe in our own homes. Just but robust action needs to be taken. But people should be aware of the predators out there, within the community.

That is very good news.
The goblins look great!

GobDok =Awesome! :D

sounds like the eye is going to be fine which is great news indeed.
There is no way in the world an eye patch would of worked with that hat. Total fashion crime if there ever was.
He could always upgrade to a cool pirate hat...
-
It's called black humour and the art of understatement, the british are famous for it apparently.
See Steders comment for further insight. In fact why not pop over to frothers and tell them how stupid and horrid they are for calling Kev a big Jess and an ugly bastard. I am sure in that rather unrestrained forum they will be able to articulate their thoughts on the matter with aplomb.
Doesn't work right now- sadly the 'orrid 'amsters (tm) decided to go on a prolonged holiday. Not that I can blame them, what with the lovely Siberian Spring we got right now. Though I think they could've at least hired some gerbils to cover for them during their absence, would've been the decent thing to do...
-
Just found out, absolute b""""""""""s hope they catch this scum. Hope you are recovering well Kev.

I sculpted my own little goblin guy and have added him to the cause.
A goblin shaman. He has a wooden mask but I may revisit that middle branch slightly to make it less... Phalic.
Cleared it with dags and he says it Carlson be added to help out kev.

Plus the first GoblinAid auctions should be starting on eBay in the next few days; I'll post links as soon as they go live
-
Are these being cast for auction, or are these the greens being auctioned?
-
From what I've read, the auctions are for e.g. minis people painted and donated to be auctioned off.
The sculpts will be moulded and cast, then released for a limited time as either one set or several sets (depending on the number of sculpts).
There's also the option to just donate some money via paypal to 'goblinaidATfenrisgamesDOTcom'.
-
I wish Kev a speedy recovery.

What sort of deadline are we looking at for painted stuff?
-
ASAP Matt; Geronimo is hoping to get the auctions started this week (Salute work permitting) but, obviously, they will be ongoing over the next couple of months

OK, I'll pull my finger out.

Shocking news, but a very positive response from everyone. Brilliant to see all the goblin sculpts!
-
So, any news on his recuperation?
-
I think there was a fairly positive recent post on the Facebook page. No details though.
-
Yep - he's doing 'OK'

Dags, I dare say the goblin aid people have a handle on this already.
Dags *is* one of the goblin aid people. ;)

Latest news from Kev himself....
Thanks , i really appreciate what you and everyone else is doing to help me , i feel bad as I've not communicated on facebook but I've never wanted to join and the best way for me to get over what happened is to get my head into something creative so i'm compiling lots of music as its a hobby and great fun as i love mixing and doing interesting things with synths and ambient sounds.
It means i will be locked at desk when i get back to work as therers lots of new sounds to keep me interested .
I'm hoping to give it a bash next week as my eye is improving .I was on a roll and making my first female models and am itching to get back .
I'm lucky i didnt lose my sight in right eye , socket was that badly smashed that my eye was lower than it should be and the operation was very complex they tell me .
Still got a broken jaw and nose is broken in three places and i was shown xrays yesterday of how my face was all caved in and why they used metal plates to rebuild cheekbones .
I hope they catch these idiots before they kill somebody .
I'm not happy because they got the wrong house as its my neighbour who they were trying to rob but we both have gravel drives .Theres been a spate of similar robberies and a girl was mugged the other night outside the local shop by three hooded thugs who sound like they could be the same lot .
I'm on the mend and will bounce back, theres a new picture attached and i dont mind if you post it so people can see i'm ok .I'm healing very well due to the fact that i drink lots of wheatgrass and juice vegetables and eat a lot of fresh fruit , i'm totally into a healthy raw vegan diet these days so i will soon recover.

Good to hear he is being so positive. Good luck Kev! Thanks for the update Dags.
-
Glad to hear Mr. Adams is on the mend and is staying pretty positive. The docs did good work!
So, did I understanding he is mixing some goblin music together and wants to shift back soon to sculpting some (goblin?) females? Could be... interesting.

Another update from Kev, after we just sent him the first batch of cash from the generous donations made already:
"I cant thank you enough ,everybody is being so kind and raising cash is going to help me a lot as i do worry about earning enough and want to get back working asap and that alone is worse than the physical pain . i'm stubborn and dont like to accept ive been knocked on my arse but i have to listen to family and take things more seriously regarding my recovery so i wont rush back into it .
It cheers me up loads that so many people care about me .
Sorry i didnt get back yesterday , this pc is very frustrating as its got about 1 gig of memory so crashes all the time .Should be getting a replacement Imac on insurance soon so that will be something to look forward to as i'm used to using a more powerful machine , its funny because my 2003 pc isnt up to scratch and nor am i
Spent three hours in the garden today with the jetter and cleaned all the patio and paving and it looks loads better and its cheered Jackie up too .was very disorientated at times though and right eye is wonky and i look like one of those dogs with saggy eyes LOL
Will do some more out there tomorrow and lets hope it warms up soon :)"
Kev's a tough old boy but this is starting to affect him psychologically now as well as physically, and with mounting bills and the always loveable glacial speed of insurance claims, he is struggling. We can't wait to get the goblin horde into production so that we can help him out more, but meanwhile the collection tins will be out at Salute, there'll be strictly limited GoblinAid badges available at £1 a pop, and we'll be producing limited goodies with the GoblinAid banner logo by Marty Whitmore for auction, too. Salute prep notwithstanding, we're hoping to finally get a couple of auctions live on the eBay shop this evening.
Meanwhile if you have got a spare couple of squid then please, please forward it on to goblinaidATfenrisgamesDOTcom. Every donation, no matter how small, will really help Kev out.

Same here, Dozy.
Love the goblins - so many excellent sculpts showing up.
Thanks for the update on Mr. Adams, Dags.

-
Gotta agree with Orctrader: That Gael Goumon sculpt certainly is the dangly doggie bits!
:o :-* :o :-*
-
I really like Alex Huntley's Forest Shaman type mini.
-
I really like how Gouman does faces, but sadly, I find his bodies to be anorexic if not down-right two-dimensional. I have great hopes that his goblin torso is more robust than he tends to make them, since I love how it looks in the picture.
Don't really NEED any more gobbos, but I sure want a lot of these. Any clue how much longer we'll be waiting?
-
The plan is that once Salute is over (this coming weekend) and all the greens are in one place they'll be going to RPE for casting. Guessing, fingers' crossed and all that, that they'll go on sale mid to end of May.
There are 3 more greens on the FB page - I'm into Salute mode now so only have a 'phone with me so I can't post the pix - Sorry!
On the subject of Salute, anyone going will be able to see a lot of the GA greens on the Fenris Games and Ainsty Castings stands and there will also be shakey collecting tins for you to leave your change in on a wide variety of trade stands :D

Greetings from Foundry
We sold 22 Little Kevin plus snorklings packs at Salute.
Next show we will take a bigger sign.
The nearest competitor was our "Dad's Army" pack. We only sold 10 of them: so Mr Mannering lost hands down.
Cash on its way to Kevin.
We have put Little Kevin plus snorklings up on our new website today
Call in and pick up a set if you are passing our factory in Nottingham!
Cheers
Marcus at Foundry

Fantastic. :)
Remind me please about "how to buy?"
Will it be auction only or will be be able to just buy?
-
They'll be available to buy.
Once the last 3 have arrived at GoblinAid Towers they'll be off to RPE for casting.
They'll (probably) be available in 3 ways:
1) A complete boxed set
2) Selection packs
3) Individually
But only for a limited period - probably a month.
We'll make an announcement when we're ready to go.
We won't be taking pre-orders though for a couple of reasons - until we know weights (for metal costs and postage) we've got no idea on prices and, more importantly, we (me, Geronimo, Tim & Paul @ RPE) are trying to organise this round full time jobs and it would be a logistical nightmare we're really not geared up for.

Hi chaps,
the sculpts arrived here (at RPE) on Monday and the first batch of masters are done. We should have a production mould early next week and they will go straight on sale- the sooner we can get some money to Kev the better.
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.397147280396110.1073741828.272397289537777&type=1&l=d05a4fa37f

I just saw that the first ones are available to purchase now.
http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/shop/goblinaid-the-historical-ones-c-123_124.html
@dags (or anyone else that knows) are these limited edition or limited time. I'd like to wait until they are all in store before purchasing. Will they only be available through RPE or elsewhere? Will they only be sold individually or will there be large sets available?
How's Kev as well? On the mend still I hope!
-
Hiya - sorry for the delay in replying; been at the Stoke Challenge for the weekend - fun little show for anyone in the area 8)
In answer; not limited edition - Paul will, top bloke that he is, make as many as are required.
Kev's doing 'alright' - he's still waiting for surgery as his left eye is noticeably lower than his right as a result of the socket being smashed. This is making it impossible for him to focus on close up work so getting back to sculpting is not on at the moment (infuriatingly for Kev as he's got loads of ideas going round his head)
-
No worries, its just shipping is a factor when your on the other side of the world. :)
-
Understand entirely - there will be pack/complete set deals once they're all done but as Paul is doing this, free of charge, in his spare time it will take a while to get all 42 master moulded, moulded and cast. We took the decision to release them as they came for a couple of reasons; firstly it gets some money coming into Kev straight away and, secondly, there will be some peeps that just can't wait 8)
-
Also good for building anticipation. lol
You guys are legends for doing this, Kev is really deserving of all this attention too.
Did they ever catch the guys that did it?
-
Not to my knowledge :(
