Knocked up a few figures from the Perry,s new plastics box and am wondering if I can paint them as continental line. Comments and observations most welcome.

great job mate. They would be great as militia.

Nice one' I want to use these for m&t. Can anybody tell me the differece between the uniforms in the f&I war and the awi ??

I believe a box of continental infantry are in the pipeline from the Perrys, so you might be better waiting for them.
In terms of the difference between F&IW and AWI British, I'm not enough of a uniform buff to know the detailed differences, but at a superficial level, British line troops in the F&IW (effectively the 7YW in North America) were still wearing the tricorn, whereas by the AWI they had progressed to the bicorne and its various informal variants. Plus the short gaiters and stockings of the AWI period are fairly distinctive, whereas in the 7YW I'm pretty sure British line infantry were still wearing long gaiters.

Re the OP's post about Continental Line -
No sort of expert on AWI; but I wonder if the problem might be the typically British regimental lace on the lapels and cuffs.
The rest of the uniform is pretty generic.

So I can't just swap the bicornes for tricornes then..? :D

Not really lol
Captain Blood pointed out a couple of the most immediately noticeable differences 8)
On top of that, the whole uniform cut changed with the new regulations in the mid 1760s, coats became tighter with different cuff shapes and collars, waistcoats shorter, ankle gaiters replaced the above-the-knee ones, often with gaitered leggings instead on campaign. Equipment and its carriage changed quite a lot too, as did the drill manual, which effected 'poses'.
I'd use them as what they are, and use M&T for AWI, you'll see that it's intended for both. :)
If you'd like to do FIW for M&T as well as AWI, go for it, you'll find plenty of figures specifically for the period are available ;) :D

Same figs sprayed. I reckon these would look well painted as Provincials / Loyalist troops.

I agree, but then I am no expert as I am new to this period.
