Title: VBCW The Blue Bonnet Grey and Blacks
Post by: flags_of_war on 05 April 2013, 09:12:04 PM
I had lost some of my enthusiaism in recent months for VBCW while painting WW2 and FIW but with a game coming up at Wappinshaw i forced myself into and got the bug again.

These guys have actually already been in battle but i wanted to do some highlights on them before i was happy to keep them off the table. Still not the best job but i did enjoy painting the great figures from Musketeer.

The are Lord Mauchline 1st Glasgow Regiment. Lord Mauchline would have been 20 in 1938 and he has raised this Regiment on behalf of his Mother the Countess of Loudon. The Earl of Loudon Foot and Lord  Mauchline Horse were the Glasgow Covenanter Regiments and they have rallied to the call once more. They are led by the Young Lord Mauchline in the name of their faith and Scotland.

PSALM 95 7

Very nice work on both the flag and figures.

Small suggestion - a quick run with blue on the flag's edge.

The blue helmets look great with the green bases; excellent splash of color.

Very nice unit.  You always think you have finished with VBCW then you just have that thought...........................

Keep up the good work.

Yeah i normally do but i shoved it on for the pic to clear the table. The amount i have on the table just now is unreal.
