With the release of the Perry 8th army and Afrika Korp soon to be a reality I'm getting all excited and contemplating dusting off my disposable heroes books to try and get some games in.
Is anyone aware of any companies that do German Afrika Korp AT guns and artillery?, specifically (if used) the PaK38, IG18 and the 88, or at the very least just the crew?
I know Artizan do a PaK38 with summer crew, and warlord do an IG18 and flak gun, but do alternatives exist?
Also does anyone do some cheap North Africa or generic middle east buildings?, I was hoping for something like the MDF stuff 4ground does, but searching for 28mm buildings in that area turns up utter rubbish on google.
All in £ please, and not black tree, I don't want another 2 month deliver and urine poor customer service experience.

PMC on EBay do some nice North Africa Houses quite cheaply...

Ruins can be made from the GW LOTR ones.....

or take a look at Petsmart's Aquarium section

Morning,
I too have been pondering the desert AT gun thing...If you look on EBay there are a few Italeri 1:48 88's (about £12) kicking about and you can get a crew from Warlord.
Are the Perrys definitely releasing the North Africa plastics then?
Best, OG

Some more terrain for you to look at.

Perrys are hoping to have the 8th Army ready for Salute. Not only that, but they have DAK on the way too and a range of metal Italians.
Take a look at their site.

The ones on eBay certainly suite what I'll be looking for, but being eBay I'll use it as a last resort.
GW buildings aren't really an option, not for the cost they charge, I refuse to support them in any way shape or form (other than agrax earthshade washes)
The aquarium things really aren't what I'd be interested in I think.
The najewitz stuff is way out of my price league, I'd not be able to afford more than 1 building a month.
And unfortunately while a 1/48 gun would be fine for heroic 28mm, its going to be too big otherwise for true scale 28mm

Generic desert buildings are easy and cheap to build.
These are wooden cigar boxes with bits cut out to make doors and windows.
The outside walls were covered with plaster before painting.
The doors are made from sprue bits and Renedra bases (as you get in many plastic sets).

Bolt Action now have plastic halftracks which are not too expensive.
Tamiya have a huge range of 1/48 scale WW2 kits.
Black Tree have a metal 88 Kit which is not too expensive (especially if you wait for one of the special sales on WW2).

Unfortunately I don't have the tools to construct stuff like that, I don't even have a model knife, its why I was hoping a company similar to 4ground would do terrain like this, because its cheaper.
I also know of the plastic halftrack but have no interest or use for one at this time or the near future
I'm also aware of tamiyas amazing kits, but cannot afford them and they are no good for true scale 28mm as I stated.
I also know of black tree and as I stated refuse to use them ever again due to shoddy delivery times, none existent customers support and cheap quality products.

true scale 28mm
this is a contradiction in terms, as 28mm miniatures are not scaled.
But it is acceptable to say You find the 1/56 vehicles more appropriate ;)

Terrific looking buildings, well done.
I intend to make some out of simple foamcore, that I can also use for the Soudan.

We have just released really smart (IMO) desert raider vehicles in 28mm metal for SAS and LRDG - perfect for skirmish level desert gaming.
We have a Breda with British crew due very soon. The boss might even let me post a pic or two of the one I am painting up at present.
In the meantime here it is in a Chevy without ground mount.

Company B also makes Terrain for North Africa. LRDG and North African skirmish has been our speciality for the last 8 years!
We have a couple of buildings suitable for the period:

And don't forget all the vehicles
The CWT chevy comes loaded with all the kit you see in the pic.
The Ford also comes with a Bofors to mount in the back if stowage is not your thing
(http://035f399.netsolhost.com/F30ford.JPG)
Don't forget Jeeps (Sculpted by Ian Crouch and painted here by Agis)
And the Italian Big Guns
(http://035f399.netsolhost.com/IMG_5218.JPG)
The Spa-Viberti AS42 comes with two main gun options as well. the 20mm Breda model 35 gun and 47mm Breda 47/32 gun along with a separate ground mount for one or the other (nothing is wasted!)
The 20mm Breda and mount with crew will be released as a stand alone set as well in a few weeks along side the M13/41 tank
We also have the AS37

I have not even mentioned DAK. some of that is in the german section, but more is on the way...too much really to list properly :D
