Hey there,
I am looking for either a vector based drawing or a clear line drawing of the Hammer and Plow symbol used at the early stages of the RCW... Is any one of you aware of such a file? My google-fu has regrettably let me know...
Cheers,
Dimi

Oh cool... That's a good start. Maybe I could vectorise that. Thanks, former user.

But wait until @cuprum and @MarkPlant show up, I am sure they will have a bucketload to offer ;)
btw, I am not really sure it was used on flags and not on badges only.....

I've spotted these on google, but sadly they would be a paint to convert into line drawings.
As far as I can remember, some frags only carried it, but then again, it's not that important anyway... As long as it looks good. I on the other hand would like to have it on dice. :D
-
why do they have to be line drawings?
You need them for dice only?
-
Currently that is what I am thinking off, yes. And as far as I know, the custom dice makers need vector based files. A line drawing then improves scalability. The simpler, the better. The drawing has to be recognisable on the little dice-side.
-
I see
well the hammer and plough symbol I always found a bit difficult to recognize anyway in outline, though historically correct...
-
Yeah, that's why I haven't been satisfied by my google finds so far... and hence this thread :)

Oooooo...sounds good! A project I'd also be interested in.
-
Now if only someone would have a nice line drawing for this... :D
-
I'll bite.. What's my take if I do it? :)
-
Actually, I think I already have this done somewhere... for some alternate RCW patch sets! I'll look on my hard drive.
-
Oooooh, support from the big guns! Sounds really cool! Thanks for biting. Look faster! :)
-
A line trace on CAD would do the trick if you know someone with access to it.
-
Excuse my low-techiness, but couldn't you just print these pictures out and then use tracing paper to get the line drawing and scan it if you need a computer version?
-
a vector model is different in format than a regular Jpeg - is the problem
-
Well, cuprum kindly sent me a line drawing a few days ago. If he is fine with this, I would be more than glad to post it.
Nonetheless... I am looking forward to what CompanyB has up his sleeve. :)
-
I've rattled one up this morning based on the black and white drawing. It's very fussy though. I can simplify it for a dice I reckon.
-
I'll post what I have later today...
-
Looking forward to it, CompanyB!

Here's a jpg preview of the file. I can e-mail the .pdf vector file, or make it downloadable later today.

That's probably a bit more dice friendly than mine! lol
-
I'd be very much interested in the PDF with vector version, for later use once I'm home again. (currently out in the field until at least the end of June)
My username here at gmail dot com, or just drop the download URL here!
Thanks!

If you use it for commercial purposes, please just send me a sample :D
Personal use, do as you need.

Wow!!! Really cool! Thanks!
Elk, don't worry I am already planning combining both :) Very grateful for your files.
-
No worries! I'm a tinkerer when it comes to these things not a pro like Company B (who I'm a fan of!) :D
