Saw this today, just vehicles but looks like there is a release of new figs soon! Looks like Perry and Warlord are head to head on goodies to come out!

Most likely they are just going to be stocking the Perry's stuff, they already do that with other Perry's offerings.

nothing new yet, but they are clearly moving stuff around to be ready for what appears to be a new line of products for DAK.

Maybe, but why would Perry do their own Bren Carrier if Warlord already has one?

Sometimes i feel that a little competition could really help around here. I've seen the warlord plastic wwii in flesh and the perry's in the site, and both of them do not thrill me more than a bit. Somehow i feel much better with the ECW, even though WWII is quite likely my favourite period.

Yes, I think there is some symbiance there on the part of Warlord, I expect an 8th Army section will appear too..... 8)

by my understanding, Warlord makes distribution deals in various degrees of exclusivity with other manufacturers and they pick whatever is useful for promoting their sales policy. Thus one can see Warlord plastic napoleonic french infantry alongside Perry austrian infantry, but no Perry napoleonic french infantry.
this is the only thing they can do to monopolize the market as they learned in their "school", GW
Warlord do not sell miniatures or accessoires, they sell a gaming package. the wargaming market of the last, what, 10-15 years has taught that this is the concept to make money.
I do not want to make a judgement here, just point at the facts (admittedly from my POV)

Only reason they probably don't sell the Perry French alongside warlord French is because the Perry French are cheaper for more models.

they will never sell a competition product, it's that simple
even if the target group buys more perry french through other channels, they will earn more for every own french box because they produce it themselves and don't have to share the margin with the Perry brothers.
That is why they invent conversion sets, to boost the sales. You will probably never get a "Vistula Legion" upgrade pack with only the metal parts, it will always be the whole set.
The same policy would be if Perry Miniatures sold the plastic ACW infantry + black union heads as " ACW Black Regiment", maybe including some special accessoires
but they don't - they sell 36 heads for 6.50 and not 4 for 2.50....
that's the difference
again, no judgement here....

They do sell Perry's French plastic as well as Warlords' and Victrix...

oh, my mistake this time.....
obviously, I'm dumping rubbish....
would like to know how this works out sale wise....
but the french infantry boxed as Warlord is Warlord? isn't it?
I didn't notice the 4 different french regular infantry - I wonder how this makes sense?
well maybe they will sell the Perry Carrier too then...

I imagine they have been asked what they can use for the desert and have made a section for it. Makes sense to me. Not sure if they will bring plastics for Africa as they would need to stick to their current price range on the plastics which would make them way more expensive than the Perry's.
