Title: Alternative LOR Minis for Tomb of Balin Diorama

Like it says on the packet, i want to pick the collective brain for mini ideas for a Tomb of Balin diorama. I'm looking for characterful minis, like the old citadel stuff and unlike the newer games workshop stuff. Part of the point is to make a diorama that is very obviously based on the book and nothing at all like the movies. The minis don't have to be specifically for LOR, just appropriately armed/equipped.

To give you an idea, i like this guy for Boromir:

Will also need gobbos, orc chieftain with spear and a cave troll...

Check out Reaper Miniatures, they have a huge fantasy line.  I'm sure you will find what you need there.

Cheers mate. Reaper does have some good stuff, just a matter of sifting through their massive catalogue (and i suppose i was being a bit lazy...)

Their figure finder makes sorting through the collection pretty easy.  Here's what I came up with.

I like the look of that Cave Troll! I plan to have the troll's hands gripping the edges of the doorway, forcing its way into the chamber, and those claws look like they might be converted pretty easily. Thanks again!
