Title: Artists Pens??

I have heard mention in the past of some people using artists pens to add some of the finer detail to their figures. Have any of you done this?
I'm thinking that a blue pen would be handy for applying woad to ancient Celts. Also brown and blue pens could be used to add the pupils to eyes for example. But I don't know which pens to use exactly, and would you be able to gloss over the pen work?

Can anyone help on this please?

i,ve used them for tattoos and even drawing hair, but i wash over or paint over in some cases to blend it in rather than leave it as the top coat, give it a whirl see how you get on

I always use pens for my eyes, and also sometimes the eyebrows. I use Sakura Pigma - micron 005 pens.

FramFramson have you glossed over your figure, after using these pens? I'm wondering if the ink stays put. Think I'll try them out anyway, many thanks.

I tried pens, but found it wasn't any easier than using a paintbrush for eyes, so I went back to painting them. Didn't have any problem with the ink running or anything.

No, I'm a horrible goon and don't seal my figures.
