I'm looking for some robots/droids/cyborgs/security drones. Now scifi is not my usual scene, so I've found myself at a bit of a loss. Ultimately I'm looking for humanoidish robots. So far I've found:
The GOT Guardian Robots
(http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/800x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/g/u/guardians_small.jpg)
The GOT Sentrys
(http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/800x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/c/i/cimg6196.jpg)
Copplestones Not-Terminators
(http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/images/fw15col.jpg)
And the ubiquitous GW Necrons
(http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m400708_99120110001_NecronWarriorsMain_873x627.jpg)
I really like the top two lines, the only problem is that I'm not sure that there is enough of a variety among the miniatures to have different 'ranks' i.e. minion, boss, BBEG.
Any other suggestions would be great!
While I'm at it, I'm also looking for 'bugs'; tyranids is the most obvious choice here, but does anyone know of any other suitable choices?
Cheers
Andy

Use the search tool for "bugs" and you will get some great threads.

Reaper has a bunch of robots as well.

If you are willing to approach with an open mind Reviresco has a group of humanoid (and non) robots. http://www.tin-soldier.com/warbots.html for the humanoid combat oriented ones. http://www.tin-soldier.com/robots.html for a bit of a mix.

How about these ones

Andy, EM4 do the original Copplestone Terminator robots (ex-Grenadier I think ) which are very similar to (but not identical to) the Copplestone 'own brand' Terminator robots.
Would give you a bit more variety in a very similar style :)

Good to know :-D just had a quick look, they look ideal- and to be fair I'm not needing many.

Colin these are really nice just a wee bit too cartoony for what I need, I'm afraid. Do look fun to paint up though.

Maybe the Enforcers from Mantic

got some at home, nice minis, they are big and have a nice cyborg/robot looking !!

Reaper make some nice not-terminators too. They're a bit more spindly then most and you have to attach the arms. Here's a (blurry) photo.

Anvil Industries have just released ARC troops.

I have the GOT troops and really like them. I got two from the West and black security set (or whatever it's called), and simply twisted the head, it's enough so that it doesn't look exactly the same as the first. Perhaps that'd be a way forward? Or you could paint unit/rank stripes on them similar to Star Wars droids/clone troopers?

I moved a lot of heads and arms on my em-4 not terminators to give some variation. Robots are naturally going to be a little samey anyway. ; )
-
Tip I got from somewhere for the Necron Warriors - replace the skeleton heads with the Scarabs (the little robots based in fours in the picture you showed) to make them a little less human-looking.
Mantic are also releasing a team of robot Dreadball players very soon, although they're unarmed:
