Very nice. What are these made of?
-
Core foam board 5mm. All bits I had in spares box.
-
is the roof foam board as well?
-
Flat roof is foam baord. The domes are from a kids toy machine both halves open for the toy. Just kept in bits box for a few years now.

Excellent work! Why is it painted red though? Aren't these kind of buildings supposed to be white>
-
Probably due to very orange/red soil in that area of India. I like them much!!! I'm beginning to work on my 28mm IM project. What rules will you be using for games?

These look great, nice work.

Or perhaps just painted that colour because somebody thought it looked nice. The entire city of Jaipur was painted pink in 1853, in honour of a visit by the Prince of Wales. Much of it is still that colour, and they call it the Pink City to this day.

Excellent work.
Like the color of the buildings.
A nice change from the usual colors.

If the "author" is going for the Jaipur pink then it works. But if going for the red sandstone look then it could use some minor adjustments - at least to my eyes. But nice all the same. Oh, the adjustments? It's too pink for the red sandstone images I've seen so it could be toned town a little bit, maybe with a matching tannish color. Or just leave it as is.

I like them. They do look nice - and unusual, which is a plus. They make a nice change from all those white and sand coloured adobe buildings. Well done :)

Just as Jodhpur is known as the 'Blue City' cos someone thought blue made for a nice paint scheme and it caught on.

Excellent buildings & colour is spot on!

I agree with those in favour of the red colouring of these buildings, makes a nice change from the usual selection of off whites. Like the partially knocked down wall in the final picture.

I take my hat off to you sir, your colours on the buidings is great.I paint the buidings for Mutineer Miniatures and i use alot of red for sandstone on them.

Hi all. Thanks for the comments. The rules ill be using are The Devils Wind by David Bickley. Great rule set , easy game mechanism which also allows you auto mutineer generation for my solo game atempts.
As for the colour.......well.......reading quite a few books now on the subject......they refere to native house in the red sandstone finish. Pictures on google also show the red faded to pinkish through weather/age. The colour used was a Dark roasted red with sunflower dry brushing to blend it in. I will be making somemore buildings which will be white for my flight from Meerut skirmish game.

An excellent choice, if I might say so.... :D
