All,
As stunning as the Black Scorpion figures are, the one missing factor seems to be that none of the figures wear the ubiquitous chaps. Has anyone bothered to mode them on the legs?

That's a good point... Bit of green stuff of milliput soon solve that problem, as you can tell I have not ... So far, but now you have pointed it it I might...

I happened to be watching "Tombstone" today, and the thought struck me.

Just for the record, one or two of them are wearing chaps. lol But they are sleeved chaps, so it's hard to pick them out. There is one shotgunner, and one cowpoke lookin' fella who have them. lol

The shotgunner here has chaps, but they're damn hard to see. Another model has them, but I can't recall which. I agree though, not too many chaps. :?

Those leather hoses that are not pants. Certain people tend to wear those in certain night clubs too...

Chaps provide protection against "Certain hostile plants" while riding a horse. Of course in the desert or Mediterranean terrain of alta/baja California Chaparral, cactus, or a high majority of the plant life has developed "anti-social" thorns, nettle, you name it, and it can make riding or walking through it a "combat experience" to your clothes and skin. :o
Quite necessary for the working vaquero. 8)
Edit: Can't comment on Michi's statement due to lack of observation or experience. lol
Gracias,
Glenn

I have a pair of black leather chaps...
I'll leave it up to your imagination as to where I wear them and what (if anything) I wear with them.
;)

It doesn't bother me at all. Chaps are usually only worn by cowboys, most riders are following roads or trails and don't need them. Cowboys are the "off-roaders" of our western worlds and definitely need them.
