Are there any decent information sources online for the gear, kit, uniforms, organization/tactics, etc. (especially pictures of fighting men) for the second half of the 16th century or early 17th century period of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Tsardom of Russia, or other eastern nations.
I don't need super-detailed sources, just a fair overview with some decent pictures of eastern Europe (particularly the Commonwealth) in the pike & shot era.
Thanks!

Oops, just read the "online" bit, so I've deleted the books I just listed!

There is an amazing blog with information on this period which belonged to one of the staff on the By Fire & Sword ruleset who helped out with a ton of historical research. It is written in Polish but maybe you can find google translate to help : http://kadrinazi.blogspot.se/

Books won't hurt I suppose. My preference is for online sources as they will be most easily accessible, but if there's nothing online, then I can always see if any of the books are available library-wise.
The only thing I really want to avoid is actually purchasing obscure or semi-obscure military tomes online - I don't need the information so badly as to dump money into it.

Oooh, now there's some neat stuff. Too bad I can't run it through google translate, but there's a few things I can get a sense of anyway, and that's a job lot of pictures. Most of what is currently the Ukraine was part of the commonwealth at the time, so this is right in there.
