Well, this is the Hollywood version; the executive producers cut Allen out in favor of a nephew who needed a leg in to the wargaming business.
Seriously: the quest to find an Allen, Pablo and those three fellas Allen clocks after Tintin escapes is ongoing. Any practical miniature suggestions will be richly awarded. This applies to Szut miniature to.

I have in mind that these is a painting contest but I also vote for the complide picture ( I am a terrain builder :freak: )
So normaly I must go for the Prof because I like the painting style of the Prof more but how cool is the Crab can in the middel of the Seamen picture !!!!
After all I have to go, for the Prof but I wish that hammershield get some bonus points for his scenery.

Who makes the awesome armed merchant seamen?
Are they plucked from the various Artizan 'Thrilling Tales' ranges?
-
Most of them are indeed Thrilling Tales Merchant Sailors. The man in the middle is a slight Artizan WWII SAS miniature. A certain member of this forum (Lowtar?) spotted his likeness with a certain captain.
A say, has no one noticed the little tin on the barrel between the Captain and the old Chief?

I have to say that I spotted it, but only came up with that it had to stand in for Tintin. Being just a single tin, it failed miserably.
Just kidding, excellent work. Those faces shock´n´awe me, particularly the guy with the striped shirt.

This is most certainly true. I wanted to make more and add the Farao's Cigarr sign on the crates to boot but it is all I can do to just get the minis painted in time. The oildrums and Pardulon crates were luckilly fast to paint.

I can't say I enjoy beating Alex, but thanks for the nice comments about the minis, all.

It's no shame in being beating by these sailors, I don't think anyone in this round would have a bit of a chance agaist them, absolutely stellar, Peder 8) My main pleasure is that this competition encourages entries like this :)

Now I'm gonna go watch Das Boot!
