Hi all
A family member has unearthed these figures - a chess set from the mid to late Eighties cast in metal (by the soft appearance I'm guessing a lead alloy as most figures were cast in back in the day), but neither of us know what they are meant to represent or who made them. The pawns are around 30mm and the tallest piece (the thrones) about 50mm so likely these are 28mm scale, and don't look overly Fantasy in theme, which is why I'm trying this board.
Any ideas out there?

The sculpting style reminds me of Irregular Miniatures work but I can't see any chess pieces on their website now

Had another look and found some chess sets on their site http://www.irregularminiatures.co.uk
Look in the 28mm section, near the bottom of the menu on the left is chess sets. They list a Crusaders verses Saracens set for £35, no photo though
