Hi everybody,
On http://dienbienphuredstarminiatures.blogspot.be (http://dienbienphuredstarminiatures.blogspot.be) we have created a blog to support our new 28mm French Indochina War range.
This blog has certainly no claim to be exhaustive on the French Indochina conflict. Rather, it is a collection of bits and pieces of everything that could be useful for those wishing to purchase our new line of figurines, whether simply to paint them or for them to play their roles in a good wargame.
All errors are ours and all constructive comments are welcome.
Above all, never forget that we are here to have fun. So let's have fun !
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported us in this project, by their comments, or better yet, through their purchases :D We still have many things we want to add to this range and your support really helps us :-*

This is really cool support for your Range of very fine miniatures !!

Not my area, but a fantastic refrence website and great looking figures. Best of luck to you!
-
Looks good - but could you give Vallejo paint colours alongside GW ones?
-
An excellent start to what will hopefully become an excellent resource! :)
-
Agreed, looking good!

Great info! I ordered some of the Histoire & Collections Uniformes mags and still had some questions about the featured uniforms. Your Blog really cleared up all my queries! Very, very helpful. :)
-
Great start with your blog.
I was wondering where to pick up info to paint the guys.
Thanks guys, you have made it much easier.

A good place to chat about all things Indochina is the Guerre d'Indochine group:

Looking forward for more figures.

By the by, the Osprey MAA on Indochina and the Elite volume on Foreign Legion Paras are good sources for uniform info.
-
I am interested in what additions are planned to the range - aside from the obvious Viet Minh enemy.
Will Red Star be adding other paras in various alternate uniforms?
-
great site ,second the vallejo suggestion.
-
Yes, Vallejo colours, please :)
-
Another vote for the Vallejo colors.
Anyone interested in the period should pick up a copy of "Les Paras Francais Indochine 1945-1954" from H&C. Excellent color photos of uniforms and equipment.
Interesting to read that there were an abnormally high rate of head casualties at Dien Bien Phu due to the lack of helmets, something to keep in mind.

Very nice blog.
I love the tutorial !
COuld we expect the same stuff with the russian range ?
-
Thanks for all your support and comments :D
As for the Vallejo paint, well, if someone do them nicely with Vallejo paints he can certainly contact us to put the information online for everybody. I have myself not yet found the time to paint one of our figures ;D
We will definitively add a lot to this range, more so in view of its great success which give us the means to go forward :D

For some inspiration check ECPAD. It has a great on-line mediatheque with photos and footage.
