Title: Warrior Priest of Sigmar (Forge World Salute 2013 mini)
Post by: Anatoli on 11 May 2013, 11:13:10 AM
Painted this one up for my friend Patrik, it's the Forge World "Salute 2013 WHFB limited edition" miniature, which I bought for him during my trip to Salute this year.

VERY COOL...in a severe, no nonsense sort of way. Back in my AD&D days, he would have made a FINE Priest of Saint Cuthbert..."Faith is better than smart answers.".
Your brushwork is TERRIFIC; you brought out his personality WONDERFULLY with the way you did his face. VERY WELL DONE!

Perfect!!!  I'm a harsh judge of skin & eyes and you nailed them perfectly!  Love it Alex!  :-* :-* :-*

Thanks guys, the skin and face is a testament to what I found to be most fun to paint on the miniature as you can imagine the quality is linked to how fun something is to paint. Belts and tiny chains are boring as hell and I really don't like painting fiddly stuff like that. If the priest would have had a large robe over his chest it would have been a more fun miniature to paint as there would be less "metal" areas.

That face is excellent. You've done a marvelous job of bringing out his expression and those eyes are dead fierce.
