Title: The United Earth Defence Force (First Units)
Post by: joe5mc on May 12, 2013, 11:26:39 AM
I just finished painting the first couple of figures for my new United Earth Defence Force.  What do you think?

Some more explanation and a couple more pics on my blog: http://therenaissancetroll.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/the-united-earth-defence-force-first.html

I suppose I'll be wheeling out my Neo-Sovs to face these guys, then?

You can't bring the robot though.

Your troops lack of heavy support is not my problem.  Stomp, stomp.

So what game are you doing?  The 1/100 kits are very cheap to buy on HLJ!  A lot of good toy kits too in the 1/100 range.

My sci-fi rule system of choice is Starship Troopers. Stats for the big walker can be extrapolated from a combination of the battlesuits and modern battle tanks (from the modern rules which use the same system).

That said, if I ever manage to get a really big game together, I'd be interested in trying out the Bolt Action rules as a sci-fi set...

I've kept my eyes open for sci-fi conversions of Bolt Action, so this may help you (if you ever want to try it):
