I've just watched Allen Quartemain and The Lost City of Gold. At first, it looked like it might be decent, after about 20 minutes in I realized I made a horrible mistake!
Oh, the horror!!!
There were neat ideas for sure, as in all cheesy pulp films, but my goodness what a stain.
What do I do to redeem my admiration for all things pulp adventure?!

Send all your new pygmy zombies to me and I will grant a pardon for watching it.
I think it will require drastic measures, but ones you may enjoy. Watch the original King Solomon's Mines in black and white.

Solomons Mines, I do have Best Buy gift cards...

Try it with Phantom, King Kong (the black-white or newest) and Mummy :)

And to think I warned you!
"Quatermain - Auf der Suche nach der geheimnisvollen Stadt" aka "Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold", second CaQ-movie and a piece of crap.
;) :D
I agree with the good Professor. A healthy dose of antidote is called for, I´ll even second the King Kong and Phantom recommendation, especially since the latter has Catherine Zeta-Jones in a leather pilot´s dress. Most becoming.
The Mummy must be the best choice, however. Or turn to the good ol´ "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Oh, and I forgot to mention "Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow"!
-
Oooh, oooh, big stompy robots and big flying robots and big diving robots and Angelina Jolie... shame on me I forgot it!
Just hope I can get a WW mecha tomorrow at Crisis, so I can spend all night to sunday painting it up. :D
-
if you can get the Phantom movie with Billy Zane, that good fun too.

Eric,
Guess what I'm working on Riiiiiiight now?
Expect a PM in a day or two.

The Phantom is $4.88 at Wal-Mart right now! Certainly worth that price for Mrs. Zeta-Jones alone... :o  :D
