Lovely work Curt :) Very evocative!
-
Blackwolf, very nice! :-*
-
Another really tough one. :-*

You Sir, are a Master of Understatement! :D
-
Both very good but I had to go for the Blackwolf entry.
-
I absolutely love the staging on the second one.

Guy, that is an awesome assemblage of Dark Age figures. I recognise the Musketeer Miniatures Aella (having just acquired him a several other characters myself) - could I prevail on you to identify the other figures in the group? :)
Lovely little diorama, Curt - and very nicely painted. The figures (are they from Eureka?) are a wee bit on the munchkin side for my taste - but that in no way detracts from your paintwork.
I can see why this match is (currently) looking very close. Well done both of you :)

This was easily the most difficult choice for me.
Two great entries.
Blackwolf: Superb atmospheric painting, as always.
Curt: Excellent paintwork and a cracking idea for a diorama.
Tough, tough choice.
-
Both very nicely done. I wish I had such skills.
-
The level work on both of these are excellent. Kudos to you both.
-
terrific, both! :-*
Hard choice, but finally I made it ... pheeeew!
best wishes

Tough call.
Both entries deserve to get my vote.

'Named Men' is an nod to The Northmen in Joe Abercrombie's books.
Richard,I'll post up the figures tonight/ this morning ;)

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Excellent work, Guy. I love the guy on the left with the Brian Blessed maw! We seem to be having a good dash-in together - excellent stuff!
Best,
Curt

TIME TO MAKE THE DO-NUTS! LOL good job to you both! Great positioning to tell a small story on Leaders!
-
My figures from left to right;
Brodir of Man
Gunnar Hamundarson
Ragnar Lothbrok
Aella
Egil Skalgrimsson
Jarl Lothbrok
All from Gripping Beast Saga characters except for Aella who is from Musketeer(same website though ;)).
Cheers

Two superb entries, no wonder there are only 4 votes between them!
-
Nip and tuck all the way. i don't think there have been more than 5 votes in it for the entire match! :o
Very exciting (but very stressful for the poor old competitors!) quite glad I don't have to worry about it this time ;)

lol There's always next year ;)

Both excellent work, Ultimately, the great scene set by the peasant workers won me over. But both show great painting skill.
-
Fairly played Curt! Nothing like a close round on an level playing field!

Yes, it was great match, Guy. Right down to the wire, making it a real nail-biter!

Sorry for the delay in responding (don't know how I missed it). Yes, the figures are all from Eureka. I agree with you in that some of the proportions seem a little 'stunted' but I let that pass as they're such evocative models and fun to work with.
