Easy way of making a cheap 28mm water tower, i made this because it can be found in most wars and very adaptable on the table, i have also put in A4 size sheets on the website to save onto a pc so if anybody wants to make one you only have to look at the computor ... in the process of making a armoured train at the moment, again very cheap and will be showing soon how i did it.

Very nice! :o :-*
I guess this will be now added to my to-do list, many thanks.

That's really good. You must look at everything through 'scratchbuilding lenses'! Great work :)

great build - love the ladder

Cool...thanks for the step by step pics.

Nicely done!

:-* I am impressed with how you can turn average scraps into a great terrain piece. Nice work using the cardboard to represent the wooden tank.
It certainly looks like it fits in. So thanks for inspiring me to look for other useful cheap materials.
Cheers

Nicely done and it looks the part. I like your simple counterweight valve. Your conversions of materials is very ingenious and had I been working in 25mm I would have used them without hesitation. My only minor criticisms (constructive I hope) is that there ought to be a pipe and a turn valve for pumping water/supplying the top reservoir. The main supports ought to be directly underneath the main weight of water. This was my attempt in 15mm - you can see the substantial support struts under the large reservoir. Other examples I've seen in old photos use a log stack plinth very similar to the style employed in making log cabins.
