The final piece for my Battlegroup Overlord British Army, turned it into a little scenic piece to look nice at our Bovvy demo...

Brilliant - and I too love the colours on the poor old Stug, grand show. :o :o :o :-* :-* :-*

That is just beautyful

That's fantastic, V. The base, the stug hulk, and those lovely minis - it's perfect.
You can't really beat those AB minis, I feel nothing comes close to them in WWII small scales (under 35mm). Pity they don't sculpt more of them.

Amazing! :o :o :o

I'm thinking this is 20mm? the scale of God for WWII! I'm liking it a whole lot. I love when people spend the time to put pieces on the battlefield that make it come alive! make it believable, show a different view of the battle other than the normal "sharp end" Hats off to your effort! ;D
I love the paint jobs on the infantry and the posing / layout of the figure is superb, real good sense of balance. You can almost hear the voices of the soldiers and imagine what they are saying. :-*
Now that being said I'm a little put off by the Stug, dont get me wrong its a great job but I have a few questions. Since this is Normandy a battle that lasted only about one and a half months or so the Stug has quite a bit of rust on it... I assume the vehicle "brewed up" and this destroyed the paint alowing all the rust to form, but where is the evidence of the fire, black soot, ect, it does not wash away that easily. The ground cover is great but I personaly think it is too pronouced close to the tank where such an intense fire would have scorched the ground and with fuel spills little would grow there very soon. I think a bit of retouching and the addition of some black fire marks in areas will really help make it even more believable. Perhaps I just cant see the fire evidence in the pitures and the tank may well have been pushed here to get it off the nearby road... ;)
Great job and now I'll just take my mean old self and bugger off! lol
