A bit of Bank Holiday mayhem as Scotland Yard gets its first outing against those damned Prussians:-

Brilliant love the AAR, and the setting again superb.
-
Very good. Must work the points out I am playing the same battle tomorrow, Scotland Yard V Thule.
-
The Thule force will out point all of the others but I don't think it's a problem for starter games. Their limited numbers put them at a disadvantage in many scenario games. I believe the intention was to have them all in the region of 250pts. Some are below, some are above, the problem with the Thule force is they were a little over and then got a points hike :) (At the same time, Scotland Yard was a little under and got a points cut)

Great report, sir.

And that setting is inspired.
Love it!
:-*
(Now you gotten the little grey cells ticking......damn!)

looks like you had a lot of fun!

The Scotland Yard points snafu is entirely my fault. I rushed the list for North Star and missed out a couple of talent costs. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
Also when we originally wrote the list we didn’t expect people to field Holmes & Watson alongside Reed & Drake. The best laid plans of mice & men etc.
Apologies,
Craig.

But Craig its such a good idea - the classics all in one year friendly team.
Great AAR and i second the comments above, great setting.

Thanks - I wouldn't worry too much about the points - I have found the lack of activations for Thule is a distinct disadvantage sometimes. As Dewbakuk points out, it depends on the scenario. I look forward to the battle report.

Agreed - lack of activations is not taken into account in the points values, and Scotland Yard did win in the end (mind you, it was me who was playing Thule so don't read anything into the fact that they lost lol)

Thanks Mason

We did indeed - thanks.

Apologies,
Craig.
Hi Craig - no need to apologise - reading my report again I may have given the impression that we didn't enjoy the game, and nothing could be further from the truth. I have probably overstated the importance of the whole points thing and anyway, the Yard came out triumphant despite the odds - huzzah!
Great AAR and i second the comments above, great setting.
Thanks - it's amazing how much a steam boiler can look like a nuclear reactor at times lol

Well, essentially... that's what they are (nuclear reactors).
A great report, and just makes me more anxious for my set of rules to arrive from Lon. Any day now.
I have to finish painting up my forces, still, but the Servants of Ra are coming along.
