Okay I am not a very good painter compared to some of the people who post here but I think the conversion is pretty cool.
What do you think?
-
I Like that :-*

That is a FINE conversion & a paint job to match...don't sell yourself short. He looks like he should be haunting the woods around Woodstock. VERY WELL DONE!
-
He's a fine looking Beastie and why do you so you are not a good painter? This is wonderful. You've got depth of colour, nice transitions and good highlighting :D :D
-
Bestial indeed! What was the original mini, if I may ask?
-
Thanks a lot for the comments guys, painting fur is pretty easy and I only mean that I am not that good compared to some of the painters we see here on the forum. Granted there are some really great painters around. However I like painting minis a lot so its fun to paint something that is relatively easy to get a good result on like fur and monster skin.
The original mini is a heroclix guy called Ursus.

Heroclix are a good cheap way to get minitures for kit bashing and conversions for mutants and monsters.

Seriously when looking at what you started with, you're selling yourself short. Nice work all round, from conception, through converting to painting.
The only thing I'd consider is perhaps darkening the talons, as the white looks a little too bright/clean, but perfectly acceptable as it is.

Yeah, I quite like that! 'Beast From The Woods' has an air of mystery about it and the shaggy figure keeps it coming.

Me too!
Simple but VERY effective.

I want one!

Nice Clix Redux! I would agree about the talons, but that's nothing a quick wash can't handle.
Sort of has a bit of a headbanger longhair look, in a good way.

Took the words straight out of my mouth! Nice job on the beasty.
-
Oh wow! That is some NICE work! At the risk of appearing stupid, what exactly did you convert it from?
-
I'd be happy with that paintjob...
-
A vast improvement from the original. That bear was pretty funny looking

See my post earlier in the thread.
