Title: Concrete-armored StuGs
Post by: ancientsociety on 29 May 2013, 02:35:58 PM
The base miniatures are all PSC StuG ausf. G (Late), assembled as normal. I then added the concrete "humps" to the casemates, textured them with an old toothbrush, and added the rebar once the GS dried.

Fantastic little conversion - and there's so many photos out there of vehicle modifications during the war that it really is a modeller's dream.

Great stuff. I like the submerged track sections.

Very nice, it actually was a more common mod on the stugs because of the flat spots and shot traps on the vehicle. Many of these field modifications would be passed back through channels and lead to improvement on later production vehicles. The Stug later had this done at the factory. 8)
